THE MEDIA FRONT BREAKS

Over the past few weeks, The Wall Street Journal has been hedging its bets—and distinguishing itself from its competition—by running more neutral perspectives in its stories on the election. As of today, however, the battle lines have been drawn as the Journal shines a spotlight on the corruption of Candidate Clinton:
But even if average voters had the TV on 24/7, they still probably haven’t heard the news about Hillary Clinton: That the nation now has proof of pretty much everything she has been accused of.

It comes from hacked emails dumped by WikiLeaks, documents released under the Freedom of Information Act, and accounts from FBI insiders. The media has almost uniformly ignored the flurry of bombshells, preferring to devote its front pages to the Trump story.
This article, entitled “The Press Buries Hillary Clinton’s Sins,” is only half of the assault. The other half came from occasionally-awakened columnist Peggy [[[ Noonan ]]], who attacked the Cathedral indirectly by attacking the Clintons:
Readers of these pages know of the Uranium One deal in which a Canadian businessman got Bill Clinton to help him get control of uranium mining fields in Kazakhstan. The businessman soon gave $31 million to the Clinton Foundation, with a pledge of $100 million more. Uranium One acquired significant holdings in the U.S. A Russian company moved to buy it. The deal needed U.S. approval, including from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

While it was under consideration the Clinton Foundation received more money from Uranium One. Bill Clinton got a $500,000 speech fee. Mrs. Clinton approved the deal. The Russian company is now one of the world’s largest uranium producers. Significant amounts of U.S. uranium are, in effect, owned by Russia. This summer a WikiLeaks dump showed the State Department warning that Russia was moving to control the global supply of nuclear fuel. The deal went through anyway, and the foundation flourished.
The Journal is influential among the upper echelons of the Americans who are responsible for actually getting stuff done instead of merely attending cubicle jobs or what are by now rote-work, corporatized professions. It is a newspaper for investors, and its leaders tend to make savvy decisions.

What they have done here is to admit the obvious: the media tried to cuck Donald Trump with the leaked audio of locker room style comments made by the candidate, and failed. Trump rode this one out by apologizing for the release of the tape, but not the behavior, and then going on an unshackled counter-attack.

This means that an Establishment cadre composed of #NeverTrump Republicans, Democrats and most of the media has gambled and lost, and now The Wall Street Journal has chosen to align itself with the winning side. Trump rolled right over them because his message still appeals.

People in the West are becoming increasingly tolerant. Leftism assumed power based on the technological wealth of the past, but now have squandered it on stupid gadgets and social media. It promised us a world of racial equanimity and instead delivered race riots, gang rapes and terrorism as regular events. It smashed social order and left us with a toxic world, in which it finally killed the goose that laid the golden egg—the Western Europeans who built this nation—and now has plunged us into economic free fall through devalued education, exporting jobs, endless regulations, constant lawsuits and terrible leadership.

This is the “disaster” that Trump is speaking of that appeals to his audience. The media elites do not see it because they are still doing adequately in their subsidized media and government jobs. But for the rest of America, Leftism was acceptable only because it did not interfere with normal life. Now it has—as it always does—erased normal life, and people want to throw liberal democracy on the dung-heap of history alongside Communism, which is why our liberal elites are contemplating starting WWIII in order to retain power.

Inertia has turned against the Left, finally. The “American Brexit” of Trump’s anti-globalism, anti-political correctness, and anti-Cathedral campaign resonates with the people in this country—probably about a third of them—who actually keep it thriving, as oppose to merely acting out the roles of their jobs. These people are concerned. And now, the media is no longer uniform, and the collapse of the lie can begin.
