With the Assad regime getting stronger by the day and linking up with Iran—and also Turkey becoming increasingly hostile—Israel's security position has been declining for several months now, despite having hundreds of nuclear weapons.
Soon its enemies will be in a strong position to directly support the oppressed Sunni Muslim populations inside Israel.
Now things have taken another turn for the worse, with the Shiite Muslim militia Hezbollah, which is closely allied to Iran, strengthening its position in Lebanon by winning the latest Lebanese general election, the first one since 2009.
The Western-backed "cuck" candidate, Sunni Prime Minister Saad Hariri, who was there essentially to serve U.S., Saudi, and Israeli interests, has been defeated, giving Hezabollah and its allies a narrow majority. Hezabollah and its allies are believed to have won 67 of the 128 seats in parliament.
Hariri is likely to remain PM only because the Lebanese constitution stipulates that the PM must always be a Sunni.
As reported by the Leftist BBC:
This put PM Hariri and his party in a difficult position, and made the hard-line anti-Israeli parties more acceptable to the voters.
With Israel's long-term security on a clear downward slide, the policy of PM Netanyahu is clearly failing. While it is too harsh to placate Israel's many enemies, it is also not strong or domineering enough to intimidate them and make them accept peace on Israel's terms.
Maybe building a few more Holocaust museums in the West will help that.

Although the official results have not been announced, [Hezbollah's leader] Hassan Nasrallah said their gains guaranteed the protection of the "resistance" against Israel. Sunni Prime Minister Saad Hariri said his Western-backed Future Movement had lost a third of its seats. Mr Hariri is still expected to be asked to form a new unity government. It seems that Hariri's defeat is mainly due to lower turnout in Sunni areas. This was no doubt partly caused by what is seen as Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Natanyahu's "overly violent" repression of Sunni Arab protesters along the Gaza-Israeli border, where dozens have been massacred by Israeli security forces and thousands injured in recent weeks.
But analysts said he would emerge a weaker figure, and be even less able to exert influence over Hezbollah than he was in the past. A power-sharing system stipulates that the prime minister should be a Sunni Muslim, the speaker of parliament a Shia and the president a Maronite Christian.
Saad Hariri pledged to work with other factions to secure Lebanon's "political stability."
In a televised address a day after the elections, Hassan Nasrallah declared what he called a "great political and moral victory for the resistance option that protects the sovereignty of the country."
This put PM Hariri and his party in a difficult position, and made the hard-line anti-Israeli parties more acceptable to the voters.
