THE AFRIKANER UNDER SIEGE

by Andy Nowicki

With land-confiscation now in the offing for long-suffering white South African farmers, and with President Trump newly signaling support for the Boer population, it is worthwhile to re-read this excerpt from my article "The N*****s of the Earth," concerning my travels among the Afrikaners in December of 2011, and included in the first issue of Radix, the print journal put out by the National Policy Institute.

TRUMP SIGNALS SUPPORT FOR WHITE SOUTH AFRICANS

ANDY NOWICKI VISITS THE VOORTREKKER MONUMENT

Back in 2012 Alternative Right Assistant Editor Andy Nowicki visited South Africa and made a pilgrimage of sorts to the Voortrekker Monument, the spiritual center of the Boer Nation. Here he walks along the outside of the Monument and recalls some crucial aspects of Afrikaner history whilst taking in the massive and intimidating stone structure, built in 1948 to commemorate the Boers' miraculous victory over the Zulus at Blood River, a battle in which they were vastly outnumbered yet managed to vanquish the enemy without losing a single man.

Also watch the video of Andy inside the Voortrekker Monument here, and read his articles about South Africa here and here.

LEAVE US BE!

I have been asked many times to write a column about Afrikaner identity. It's a task I have always dreaded, for it will need to also involve examining questions like: can an atheist be an Afrikaner? Similarly, can an English-speaking white South African be an Afrikaner? Can Afrikaner political parties not supporting self-determination still be called "Afrikaner"? Or even: can non-whites be Afrikaners? Any honest elucidation of (the) Afrikaner identity must also include the less savoury aspects of said people. But then; nobody is perfect. That said, here goes…

Afrikaner identity, like all others, is comprised of three distinct, yet intimately intertwined aspects: the individual, the collective and the nation.

PLAASMOORD AND THE SIGMA SIGNALS

by Colin Liddell

Recently a low-budget piece of cinematic schlock had a vast swath of the world’s population foaming at the mouth, simply because it represented a slight upon their religiously-based identity.

Compare this with the almost blanket indifference that has greeted another small film, this one touching on a campaign of genocidal murder against another group.
