CALIFORNICATION

Checking in may be a Faustian bargain.

by Brett Stevens
Carole Dabak doesn’t like San Francisco anymore. She used to like it. It used to be fun. It used to be cutting-edge. It used to be progressive. Now, one out of three is apparently bad.
"I loved it here when I first got here. I really loved it here. But it’s just not the same," Dabak said.
She’s right. It isn’t the same. She’s gotten exactly what she helped vote into office. Many complain that they can’t afford it.

WHITES NEED A CAUCUS IN THE CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE

Whites supporting Whites: the wave of the future?

by H. Millard

It was recently announced that State Senator Marty Block, (D-San Diego), started the Legislative Jewish Caucus and that this caucus will also form a political action committee to raise money for Israel-friendly candidates. Block told the press that the Legislative Jewish Caucus "isn't a religious based organization. We see this as an ethnic organization." This statement was presumably made to both forestall Muslims from starting a Muslim Legislative Caucus and also to head off complaints that the Legislative Jewish Caucus is breaching the wall between religion and state.

At any rate, the Legislative Jewish Caucus, as an ethnic/racial organization, now joins the Asian Pacific Islander Caucus, the Legislative Black Caucus and the Latino Legislative Caucus.

VISIT CALIFORNIA AND ENJOY WHITE POWER

Someone else in the household watches a lot of cooking shows on the weekends, so I’ve been seeing this ad for California tourism a lot lately.

Having lived in California for a little while, I’m familiar with the places and visions they’re promoting. What’s interesting about this is that there’s not a single non-white person in the ad. And that makes sense, because the upper middle class California has virtually no interaction with non-whites. One of the chief reasons why they love shopping at Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s is because of what kind of person operates the check-out.

WHAT TO MAKE OF "CUCKSERVATIVE"?

Just recently, the term “cuckservative” – popularized by the alternative right – has incurred the wrath of mainstream white conservatives. Gregory Hood and Matt Forney have both written excellent articles explaining what constitutes cuckservatism, so I don’t really have much to add in this regard.

I’ll just say that I embrace this term, as well as any friction that the word engenders. The term “cuckservative,” provided that it catches on, has the potential to reform an increasingly stagnant and feckless mainstream conservative establishment; as of now, the American right continues to get thoroughly trounced on just about every issue. Gay marriage is the law of the land, transsexuals such as “Caitlyn” Jenner are lionized, secularism reigns supreme, and non-whites continue to demographically eclipse the people who actually vote Republican.

ELLIOT RODGER: OMEGA MALE MASSACRE

Before he fatally stabbed three roommates, fatally shot three strangers, then put a fatal bullet through his own head last Friday night in Santa Barbara, California, 22-year old Elliot Rodger recorded several videos in which he bitterly complained, with singular and disconcerting intensity, about his perennial inability to get laid.

These video segments, now posted on Youtube, make for a surreal viewing experience, since it’s difficult to reconcile the perpetually whinging, pitifully feckless lad featured with the gruesome series of murderous acts he undertook just a short time afterward. Speaking in an effete, pompous, comically imperious tone drained of emotion or affect, the slight, baby-faced Rodger expresses morose incomprehension concerning all of the rejection he has endured from girls “over the last eight years,” a span of time he says has been filled with “loneliness and unfulfilled desires.”

RENDER UNTO CESAR: LESSONS FROM "CESAR CHAVEZ"

A strong belief in borders.

by Bay Area Guy

I recently saw the film Cesar Chavez. As expected, the hagiographic film about the legendary Latino labor activist who organized exploited farm workers and promoted the boycott of grapes depicted Chavez as a borderline saint. Aside from his strained relationship with his son, Chavez’s actions were purely heroic.

Despite enduring countless attacks and abuse from racist and greedy growers, Chavez remained committed to non-violence. When his fellow Latino activists began to grow angry and resort to violence on account of the abusive tactics of the growers, Chavez fasted for about a month on behalf of non-violence. Continuing to persevere, the strike and grape boycott eventually brought the growers to their knees and forced them to negotiate with Chavez and the United Farm Workers (UFW) union.

The film ended with Chavez delivering a triumphant speech and writing an impassioned letter to his estranged son. Words on the screen then educated the audience about how Chavez’s efforts allowed farm workers to secure bargaining rights.
