STRAIGHTENING OUT THE HORSESHOE THEORY

As I have argued in a recent article, there is no going back to classical liberalism, and the illusion that we can do so is a major factor preventing our people from defending themselves. Liberalism has opened the door to culture-destroying progressivism, masked its takeover of our countries by presenting a show of formal continuity, and lacks the means of purging it. Those who would save the West are thus forced to search outside liberalism for a political framework that can do the job.

WILLI MUNZENBERG AND THE SEDUCTION OF THE INTELLECTUALS

How did it come about that much of the British intelligensia, for decades, was persuaded of the moral superiority of Communism, and of its inevitability as the future political system of the world?

One man, virtually unknown and unnoticed, can claim the dubious distinction of being the prime mover. Willi Münzenburg was born in 1888, the son of an alcoholic innkeeper in Thuringia, Germany, who killed himself cleaning a gun while drunk.

MURDEROUS EQUALITY

The Khmer Rouge brought bone-deep equality to the citizens of Cambodia.
by Andy Nowicki

“Equality” is one of the hoariest cliches and most pernicious slogans of modern times. Said to derive from a supposedly common-sense notion of fairness, the mad clamor underway to equalize the human race in fact has no basis whatsoever in justice or reality, human or otherwise.

Indeed, the idea of equality is almost inevitably deeply debasing to a culture; pushing for greater “equality” does nothing to make the dumb smart, the ugly beautiful, or the poor rich; instead, it only makes nearly everything—be it fashion, the arts, language, commerce, or general human interaction— duller, less pleasant, less orderly, less desirable, and infinitely more tacky, tawdry, and loathsome.

More crucially, the ramming of equality down our collective gullet requires the construction of a hateful bureaucracy to monitor, control, and altogether enslave the very people it supposedly wishes to uplift and empower. The imposition of equality, that is, requires the self-appointment of a vanguard elite who arrogate to themselves the task of being the equalizers. Thus the attempt to construct a society of “equals” invariably leads to perpetual exercise of tyranny.

COMMUNESIA

by Colin Liddell

There is a new disease sweeping Europe. While the North continues to be afflicted by “Swebola,” the South is now being ravaged by a new illness, which I have taken the liberty of terming “Communesia,” a portmanteau term that combines “Communism” with “amnesia,” and denotes a collective forgetfulness about the ill effects of trusting one’s economy to Communist political control.

THE OPIUM OF THE WEST

President Obama outlines his geopolitical vision in an appropriate setting.

by James Harmon

The reality of Russian-American relations is that America has simply bitten off more than it can chew. Whatever criticisms of the Russian president, one simply cannot fault his seizing on the failures of his opponents – like a wolf striking at the neck of a distracted deer.

Strong, decisive and measured, he has systematically shown the West to be foolish, impatient and wobbly; and standing up to Obama is easier in virtually every way, when the idealistic former Western socialist (Obama belonged to a socialist party in his youth) meets a man who actually lived and worked under socialism, and who is no idealistic daydreamer.

REVIEW: "THE COMMUNIST MANIFESTO" BY KARL MARX & FRIEDRICH ENGELS

Ah yes, the original. The big kahuna. The pamphlet that killed hundreds of millions of people, drove half the world’s countries to economic ruin, and forms the foundation of the ideology rotting America from within. The turd at the bottom of the planet’s biggest pile of bullshit.

Okay, that’s a little too harsh.

The Communist Manifesto is worth reading just because; as a foundational document of our modern world, you need to understand it in order to understand America. The other shocking thing I noticed about re-reading the book is that Marx, as wrong as he was, had a far better grip on reality then the hysterical crybabies who make up the modern left. Indeed, reading the Manifesto lets you better understand the psychopathology of leftists.

DUGIN GETS IN THE RING

Whither the Fourth Political Theory?

The Fourth Political Theory is a book that is clearly not short on ambition. I haven't actually read it, but I already know more or less what is in it from past writings by its author, Professor Alexandr Dugin, as well as the lengthy video presentation he gave of his ideas at the Identitarian Ideas conference held earlier this year in Stockholm.

Dugin believes there have been three great ideologies in modern history – Liberalism, Communism, and Fascism/National Socialism – and that we are now seeing the formation of the Fourth, which is still waiting to be properly christened and so is known by an ordinal. In the footsteps of Locke, Marx, and Mussolini, we now have Dugin.
