CONSPIRACY CORNER: THE LAST JEDI

Andy Nowicki considers the latest Star Wars movie The Last Jedi, and speculates on why Disney is turning our heroes to zeroes. The official narrative is that the filmmakers are "bravely challenging" our "stuffy preconceptions" of Star Wars, but, given the direction of the daring innovations, doesn't it make more sense to see this as a dangerous psy-op designed to spread nihilism, despair, and a Satanic outlook on life?

OF CAR CRASHES AND COPTERS

Narratives are constructed by omitting some facts, exaggerating others, and mixing in a few outright lies. The mainstream media’s response to Charlottesville is a case in point. In situations like this, it therefore pays to get pedantically factual. Once you do that, you might not gain full enlightenment, but you will at least notice the large number of pieces that do not fit.

CONSPIRACY CORNER: THE TERRORIZING OF BREXIT BRITAIN

Sadiq Khan, the first (and hopefully the last) Muslim mayor of London, is now mainly famous as being an apologist for Islam. In September, 2016, he famously said terrorist attacks are "part and parcel of living in a big city."

Separated from its context, the quote sounds like he was normalizing terrorism in London and this is how the quote is generally used these days. But how many people know that he was actually talking about some minor bombings in New York City? At the time that Khan made these attacks London was doing relatively well in terms of safety from terrorist attacks. Europe not so much. Khan was effectively being a bit smug.

CONSPIRACY CORNER: THE KILLING OF JO COX

Assassination and British politics are not normally two things that go hand-in-hand. Although it is quite clear that this could change in the future, as the country comes to increasingly resemble Iraq or Somalia through the "enrichening" process that is currently under way. For this reason, one has to be very skeptical about the recent supposed assassination of the EU-supporting British Labour MP Jo Cox.

Ms. Cox was stabbed and shot to death by a 52-year-old former psychiatric patient named Tommy Mair, who very allegedly shouted “Britain first!” – also the name of a small but very active nationalist party. How very, very convenient!
