PODCAST 36: TRANS PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP - GLOBALISM'S LAST GRASP?

One of Donald Trump's campaign claims is that he would make much better deals for America. Colin and Andy are joined by Alt-Right contributors Siryako Akda (Philippines) and Daniel Spaulding (Korea) to look at America's latest deal – the Transpacific Partnership, a major new trade treaty that aims to lower tariffs and impose common standards on a culturally diverse group of nations.

THE BLOOD-MOON BAMBOOZLER

In what can only be deemed a miracle, the peoples of earth have managed to pass through a fourth blood moon this year without the apocalyptic events predicted by the all-you-can-eat buffet fiend and supposed Christian evangelist John Hagee.

The nuclear accord between the United States (and the rest of the world) and Iran has not ended in some sort of global conflict, nor has Iran used the opportunity to “wipe Israel off the map,” as the neocons and their Christian Zionist sycophants have continuously been predicting. Gog and Magog must have spent the entire duration of the blood moon saga playing Angry Birds on their iPhones and drinking their Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Lattes, thereby missing their cue to invade plucky Israel and initiate the Battle of Armageddon.

CLASSICAL NIHILISM

It’s a common refrain among self-described conservatives and libertarians in America that both the modern bureaucratic managerial state and mass culture have veered wildly out of control, headed in an ever increasing totalitarian direction, and must some how be reined in. Their prescription is almost always a return to the Constitution, along with the supposed values of the Founding Fathers, and some form of classical liberalism; as one constitutionalist slogan declares, the answer to 1984 is 1776. What is often absent from sloganeering is any meaningful analysis of how society developed from the original republic to the current oligarchic, Leviathan surveillance state.

END-TIMES BUFFOONERY

Politics and religion all too often assume odd and distorted forms in America. The United States has long been the home of a wide assortment of bizarre and eccentric sects and cults, most being harmless, or at least lacking the ability to do any serious harm outside of their immediate proximity without large-scale followings nor serious political access. But there are always exceptions, and one of the more prominent and influential ones is the highly-politicized and well-funded Dispensationalist movement, a vocal and well-represented faction among fundamentalist Protestants. Not only do Dispensationalists have a large scale following, but they also manage to wield considerable influence in Washington, especially on US foreign policy.

The relationship between fundamentalist Protestant eschatology of the Dispensationalist variety and America’s geopolitical agenda can be clearly seen in the figure of Hal Lindsey. In the early 1970’s he published a book, The Late Great Planet Earth, which proved a bestseller among fundamentalist Protestants. Scrawled during the height of the Cold War, Lindsey’s work proposed that Soviet Russia was the sinister entity known as Gog spoken about by the Hebrew prophet Ezekiel, and that it would soon invade Israel, thus bringing about Armageddon. Lindsey was not an isolated figure by any means; a film based on his book – narrated by none other than Orson Welles – was made, and his admirers included Ronald Reagan, who cited Lindsey’s teachings on Russia as Gog in a speech prior to becoming president.

FULL-SPECTRUM CYNICISM

Encapsulating his view of the essence of politics, Vladimir Lenin famously asked “who, whom,” that is to say, what matters in power relationships is who does what to whom. Under the elaborate trappings of abstract, supposedly universal morals, this brutal and obscene maxim has long been the West’s primary operating principle in international affairs.

This week’s Washington-backed Saudi attack on the country of Yemen is a reminder of this cynical practice. Saudi warplanes, supplied with US intelligence data, began bombing Sanaa, the Yemeni capital, in an effort to dislodge the Shiite Houthi militias from their positions. A few weeks earlier these tribal mountain fighters had ousted Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, Yemen’s puppet president, and seized control not only of the capital, but also of large swathes of the country.

INDIVIDUALISM VS. PERSONALITY

The path of individualism (image courtesy of AllRiot).

In a West that declines as surely as the course of the sun, opponents of the incipient World State often define the modern situation as a dialectical struggle between collectivism on one side and individualism on the other. Usually "collectivism" is meant to define any manifestation of state power, be it fascism, communism, the liberal managerial state, or globalist technocracy, though many would expand the classification to include traditional religious institutions and even the family.

What is less clearly defined is "individualism," a slippery term that means different things to different people. Popular opinion holds that "individualism" is the ability to choose and follow one's desires for self-expression, be it spending one's money how one prefers or something more trivial such as dying one's hair blue.

SOUL HACKERS

With the closing of another year marked by media hysteria, the narrative that the crazed hermit North Korean regime orchestrated the hacking of the Japanese-owned Hollywood company Sony, thereby assaulting our precious freedom to crank out cultural subversion, has quickly begun to fall apart. From the beginning the story never held neither consistency nor any forensic evidence. Yet the notion that ruthless Korean dictator Kim Jong Un wants to keep them from the movies, the modern substitute for the West’s emptying churches, has sent cable news consumers into a panic.

ANDROID EXISTENCE

"In the end they will lay their freedom at our feet."

In his classic, prophetic novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, American science-fiction writer Philip K. Dick depicted a future dystopia where the only way to determine the difference between humans and rogue, bio-engineered androids was empathy: the latter were incapable of experiencing and thus demonstrating it.

ALT-RIGHT PODCAST 20: THE ASIAN CENTURY?

Colin is joined by the legendary Matt Forney and Daniel Spaulding, a contributor to Alternative Right to discuss – and dispense 'fortune cookie' wisdom on  "The Asian Question." Will the 21st century be the Asian (or Chinese) century? Other topics include Confucian values, Asian intelligence and conformity, and demographic trends.

THE SUBVERSION-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX

Playing in good faith by the rules of the world controllers earns certain undesirable peoples precisely zero credit. As a case in point, recent elections held in the war-ravaged east of Ukraine have unsurprisingly been summarily dismissed by Washington and Brussels. Any political expression running contrary to the aims and ends of the globalist superclass is denounced as illegal and illegitimate, with selective application of international law the one observable norm.

THE DHIMMITUDE OF CHRISTIAN MORALITY IN THE LEFTIST STATE

Raw Story is a somewhat popular click bait site for smug liberal millennials who seek constant reinforcement for their juvenile, therapeutic “political” ideology. It is a fellow traveler of such click bait dumpsters as Buzzfeed, Upworthy, and Salon. It exists purely to attack the phantom enemies of the leftist establishment, specifically Republicans and conservative Christians. A daily sampling of the leading headlines on Raw Story reveal their obsession with casting conservatives and Christians (one and the same in their minds) as vicious bigots out to persecute homosexuals and Muslims and impose some sort of theocracy on America (this absurd conspiracy theory is a staple of the establishment left).

Recently Raw Story published a story about an obscure evangelical Christian preacher, Rick Wiles, who expressed sentiments that the Ebola virus might by God’s way of ridding America of homosexuals and atheists. The notion is of course absurd, but no serious person has likely heard of the preacher, much less given any sort of regard to his silly fantasies.

GEORGE WILL'S HITLERIO AD ABSURDUM

Conservative columnist George Will is a model representative of his profession. That is to say, he is shrill, completely lacking in imagination and scruples, and feels the need to perpetuate whatever narrative the ruling elite have devised for public consumption.

THE ONE-EYED 'OMNISCIENCE' OF WESTERN CONSCIOUSNESS

The Western media: Panoptica of veracity or jittery claymation?

by Daniel Spaulding

With yet another bout of violence erupting between the Israelis and Palestinians in Gaza the world is once again being subjected to massive amounts of propaganda, political rhetoric, and sentimental pleading by each side in a perpetual effort to rally popular opinion to their cause. More often than not the propaganda from both sides reaches hysterical and preposterous proportions.

”EDGE OF TOMORROW” AND THE ETERNAL RETURN

"My formula for human greatness is amor fati: that one wants to have nothing different, not forward, not backward, not in all eternity. Not merely to bear the necessary, still less to conceal it—all idealism is mendaciousness before the necessary—but to love it." ~ Friedrich Nietzsche
One cannot be faulted for suspecting that Hollywood has of late been exhausted of its creativity when it comes to science fiction films. We have been subjected to an endless stream of remakes and reboots, with little in the way of compelling or original stories. It is perhaps for this reason that Hollywood has turned to Japan to bring us the science fiction film Edge of Tomorrow (based on the light novel All You Need is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka).
