NWO/XOG zombie Manchurian candidate and Parkinson’s suffer Hillary Clinton shrilly declared, and then apologized and revoked, the sentiment that half of Donald Trump’s constituency are a “basket of deplorables,” specifically those who embrace non-Leftist thought:

"Hillary Clinton took aim at supporters of Republican rival Donald Trump by saying half of them belonged in a 'basket of deplorables' as people who were racist, homophobic, sexist, xenophobic, or Islamophobic.

But Clinton, in a statement on Saturday, walked back the remarks, saying she regretted using the word 'half' and seeking to refocus on what she described as episodes of 'deplorable' behavior by Trump and his campaign."

Look, I get it: Islam and Western values do not mix. I'm also of the opinion that Muslims – along with other non-Western peoples – should mostly reside in their countries of origin. Now, with that out of the way, can people please put an end to this fatuous fixation with the evils of Sharia? Apparently they can't, if this embarrassing story from Virginia – where schools were shut down following an Arabic calligraphy lesson – is any indication. If only these hysterical parents could devote half as much energy to resisting multiculturalism, feminism, and other manifestations of modern liberalism.

But of course, they can't, and that's where Muslim bashing comes in. I have argued before that anti-Muslim sentiment is little more than avoidance and misdirected anger. White Americans are clearly upset about their declining status, pessimistic about the US's future, and uneasy about changing demographics. Unfortunately, since white identity has been rendered so taboo, white conservatives can't take that extra step and unapologetically promote their group interests. Instead, they're stuck attacking safe targets like Muslims, who represent a tiny – and ultimately powerless – fraction of the unwelcome change that's bringing about their displacement.

What is Donald Trump up to with his latest comment about a moratorium on Muslims? First of all, it’s just something he said on the campaign trail, a straw thrown to the wind to see which way it's blowing. It can be backed away from if necessary and it doesn’t tie him down or commit him to anything solid.

But what it does do is improve his position with certain key groups that Trump needs to win over or keep a hold off, while also emphasing once again what makes Trump such a special and different politician.

Stacey Eden is a young Australian woman from Sydney who recently defended a Muslim couple that were verbally accosted by a middle aged woman on a train. The woman accused Muslims in general for the atrocities of ISIS and directed her ire at the hapless couple. Stacey Eden sat there for around 10 minutes listening to the conversation before intervening on the couple’s behalf; but not before hitting the record button that captured her heroic intervention. According to the BBC: "Stacey Eden’s Facebook page got an enormous surge of interest after she posted a video of herself defending a Muslim couple"

Naturally.

Sixteen years ago today, the worst Islamic terrorist attack in history began, when a series of bombs exploded across a Christian European nation, causing billions of dollars of damage and killing several thousand people (more than died on 9-11). What is surprising is that this Islamic terrorist atrocity came from the launchpads of NATO missiles and the bellies of US and allied bombers.

Yes, sixteen years ago, the attack on Yugoslavia began. 

The declared reason was to stop "genocide" in Kosovo, a part of the Yugoslav state, and a complete lie as it turns out. Also, it should not be forgotten that in places where genocide actually happens – Rwanda, Darfur, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Tibet, Palestine, and indeed parts of the West itself – the West does nothing. No, the terrorist attack on Yugoslavia had other reasons.

According to a series of Pew surveys, Islamophobia is on the rise in Europe:

"Pew’s 2014 Global Attitudes survey, 26 per cent of us have ‘unfavourable’ attitudes towards Muslims in this country; compare that to 46 per cent in Spain, 53 per cent in Greece and 63 per cent in Italy."

The leftist BBC self righteously took pot shots at Greece as Athens was the only major city in all of Europe that refused to permit the construction of a Mosque. It seems that this will no longer be the case as plans for a new Mosque are being discussed.

As I watched the video in the above link I couldn’t help but notice that this hostility to Muslims stems not from religious prejudice, but xenophobia. This brought me back to an excellent point Bay Area Guy had made a while ago about how Muslims had become a legitimate target for pent up anti-immigrant frustration. I suspect this is also the case in Europe. Muslims are bashed especially hard because North American Whites and Europeans are not allowed to bash any other group for fear of being labelled racist.
