Most voters cast a ballot in the hope that they will be better-off with a particular candidate. The July 1st, 2018 Mexican presidential election represents the complete reversal. The Mexican electorate accepts that things are NOT going to improve in their own lives no matter which party might get into office – instead, they want the everyone else to share in their misery.

TEN WARS WE NEVER BOTHERED WITH
With Neocons apparently calling the shots in the White House, and a President looking for "foreign adventures" to compensate for domestic frustrations, a "Trump war" somewhere/ anywhere now seems a real possibility. But war is never inevitable. Here are ten examples of times when America pulled back from the brink.

(1) Ever heard the phrase, "Fifty-Four
Forty or Fight" and wonder what on earth it means? Find a map and go to
where the fifty-fourth latitude line hits the New World's west coast and then
go forty minutes north. In the 1840s, that was where many wanted the border
between the Oregon Territory and British Canada to be - and they really
wanted it. In the end Polk decided that a war with Mexico would be
easier than one with the enormous British Empire.
RACE AND IQ: MIXED POPULATIONS PART 2
This article should be treated as a continuation of this article.
In the previous article we looked at IQ studies of populations and samples of mixed-race people compared to monoracial subjects within a similar environment. Degrees of similarity of environment vary. For example, comparing identified racial groups in Brazil, or comparing identified racial groups within an adoption study.
In this article, we’re going to look at finer gradients of admixture and how that impacts on IQ and other standardized test scores.
"NOT NOT BEING WHO YOU ARE IS NOT WHO YOU ARE"
Sorry about the title of this piece, but that’s what happens when you follow the insane thought processes of Liberals, the Liberal in question being Hillary Clinton, who is enjoying her last few months in the spotlight by telling American people who they are not.
Telling American people who they are not has become increasingly popular in recent years, partly because defining them positively may be divisive, unless one adheres to the blandest and most abstract definitions, e.g. people who believe in "freedom," human rights, and the "American dream." This is about as meaningful as saying "people who like the wind in their hair, the sun on their backs, and a whiter than white smile."

| Modern Mayan LARPing the history for tourist dollars. |
One of the legacies of the world financial crisis is that it showed how absolutely clueless pundits, politicians, and financial planners can be about the direction we are heading in. This also explains our growing fascination with the mysterious Maya and their reputation for fathoming the distant future by reading the stars and the courses of the planets.
With the great vacuum of ignorance that enshrouds the future, it is not surprising that this long dead civilization with an astronomical bent has been sucked into the role of providing gnostic hints of what is to come. It was either that or Madame Zaza's tea leaves.
