Recently this site rebranded itself as "Affirmative Right" due to fundamental flaws with the Alt-Right concept and the problem of false associations that it throws up. Doubts about the "Alt-Right brand" are now widespread, with even Alt-Right vlogger Millennial Woes wondering whether there is a point to it anymore. Has the term become more convenient for its opponents than for those who identify with it?

WELCOME TO 2018

Millennial Woes catches up on what is already turning out to be a dark year for the Alt-Right. With deplatforming and infighting reaching new heights, is it time for a serious rethink? Probably.

THE RIGHT OF THE INDIVIDUAL TO HIS OWN NATION

To me, the performance of the Identitarian side on Andy Warski’s live chat last night represented the Alt Right in a nutshell. On the one hand, considering we are drawing from such a small pool, the level of talent on the Alt Right/Dissident Right is astonishing. Richard Spencer is verbally quicker on his feet than anyone the mainstream political nation has to offer at the moment. (John Dickerson is just as talented as an on-the-fly wordsmith, but he doesn’t have anything original to say. The fact that he is officially neutral probably limits him there.) On the other hand, the continued intellectual sloppiness/indifference is frustrating—the alt right movement is almost a decade old now, and at this point we should not be getting tripped up by basic-bitch liberal objections to white nationalism.

Millennial Woes' recent video entitled "The Emerging Dynamic" brought up a lot of interesting points, and I thought I should add some of my own thoughts through this article. 

Perhaps one of the great unstated features of liberal egalitarianism is that it seeks equilibrium, which, for the purposes of this article, can be described as any (homogeneous or heterogeneous) group's ability to reach a theoretical consensus on the most expedient way to pacify internal conflicts (ethnic interests, social capital, and sustainable socio-econonic considerations be damned).

In this sense, what the Western World calls "egalitarianism" could be more aptly described as "coalition management," since it actively tries to (organically and through force) prevent conflict (i.e. zero-sum competition) by imposing what it considers to be the universal moral codes of "human rights" and "equality."

As most people in the Alt Right are aware, there has been a recent spate of doxxing of prominent personalities within the Alt Right. Doxxing is not something that should ordinarily be done to people in the movement, as people will inevitably be discouraged from joining the movement in the first place. The two most high-profile of these are those of Colin Robertson alias Millennial Woes and Michael Peinovich alias Mike Enoch. For those who do not know, Millennial Woes is a Youtube channel in which Colin muses on everything from art to our present-day situation, while Mike is one of the hosts on The Daily Shoah, a weekly audio podcast in which the hosts take an irreverent view of the ruling elite and their shibboleths.

A short podcast in which Colin Liddell addresses the recent doxxing of two very different Alt-Right personalities: (1) YouTube vlogger Millennial Woes, hounded by the Scottish press for his calm, reasoned, and principled talks about multiculturalism, mass immigration, and Islam; and (2) Mike Enoch of TRS and the Daily Shoah podcast, known for his brand of over-the-top, vitriolic, anti-Semitic humour, who, it turns out, just happens to have a Jewish wife and may himself be a Jew.

The "Millenniyule Hangouts" are a series of one-on-one Google hangouts hosted by Alt-Right vlogger Millennial Woes over the festive period. 

For the 23rd hangout in a 10-day period, Alternative Right's Chief Editor Colin Liddell joined Woes to discuss Manichean vs. Aristotlean morality, the power of the Left, the tragedy of the Jews, the nature of the Alt-Right, and the challenges created by Trump's Presidential election victory.

It was with some trepidation that I arrived in Washington D.C. for the NPI Conference, expecting demonstrations and protests, especially since Trump had won the election. Unfortunately, between the brashness of demonstrators and the fallout from the media after the conference, little attention has been paid to its actual content. Indeed, I was eager to read Matt Forney's piece for RightOn, but this almost exclusively addressed confrontations with the demonstrators. Nevertheless, I thank him for doing so, as their "deplorable" behavior was completely ignored by the mainstream media, which managed to pick only the pits from our bowl of cherries.
