In the current dispensation of the post-modern West, traditionalist-minded folk are trapped, much like prisoners of war, behind the enemy lines of a dissipated, degenerate modernity. We hearty souls are firmly opposed to the anti-values preached by all agents, organs and outlets of the Zeitgeist, yet we are unable to keep the ubiquitous, ever-ravenous Kali Yuga at bay.

The video posted above will function as a kind of vividly colorful Rorschach blob. Your reaction to it will, I'm afraid, prove to be utterly predictable, regardless of who you are—at least in the vast majority of cases. As with all Rorschachs, what you see is what you get; which is to say, what you "get" is limited by the ideological horseblinders you have chosen to wear.

Much as I felt the call of Scrooge in the weeks leading up to Christmas, I was thwarted by great friends, a loving family, and a few events that conspired to defeat my inner curmudgeon. As enjoyable as Christmas proved to be for me, my favorite time is the week between Christmas and the New Year. This period is marked by a deep quiet that lends itself to reflection and plans for the coming year. Being American I have a terribly short attention span, so I found myself reflecting mostly on this last month of the year.
