"SHADOW RECRUIT": HOLLYWOOD'S REVAMPED RUSSOPHOBIA

This article was originally posted in February 2014; it is republished here in light of the recent alarming ramp-up of tensions between the United States and Russia (with a Western media largely complicit in a poisonous revamped Russophobia), and the possibility of a proxy war, or worse, breaking out in Syria should Hillary Clinton become president.

Kenneth Branagh’s Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is not a great or even a good movie, but the fact of its very dubious celluloid existence attests to a very real social phenomenon: the attempted ginning up, by certain powerful and influential American lobby groups, of a new Cold War with Russia.

"A STRONG RUSSIA IS GOOD FOR EUROPE!"

An interview with Johann Gudenus
Vice-Chairman of the Austrian Freedom Party

by Manuel Ochsenreiter

Mr. Gudenus, you are considered as an Russia expert and a friend of Moscow. Where does this new – perhaps old – fear of Russia come from?

Gudenus: The fear is still based on the stereotypes of the Cold War, sometimes even on the experiences from the Second World War.

The Second World War ended in 1945 and the Cold War in 1989...

Gudenus: But the anti-Russian sentiments are still very easy to reactivate, as we can see. It is interesting that especially the liberal and left media is currently agitating loudly against Moscow. And they are precisely the ones who like to accuse others of being prejudiced or xenophobic...

RACISM - THE BIG PICTURE

"Look Ma, I'm on Alternative Right."

by Colin Liddell

There are many theories about Racism-as-intended-stigma. Many on the nationalist side view it as part of an evil conspiracy by a shady bunch of hook-nosed gentlemen to weaken a competing ethnic identity. Others see it as part of a selfish conspiracy by business leaders to boost globalism and immigration with a view to depressing the wages of the White working class.

Both of these explanations, as well as others, have elements of plausibility and may even be true at a certain level, but attributing the motive force of Racism to these is rather like believing a car's power comes from its wheels rather than its engine.

To understand Racism you have to step outside it – pretty hard to do because in the modern West it now envelops us – and look at it in its entirety and historical context.

To understand Racism you also have to also step inside it: open up the word and delve inside – also pretty hard to do because in the modern West the word seems to have an obviousness that makes deeper explanations seem willfully pedantic.

LET THE INTERNET CLONE WARS BEGIN

Back in the dark old days of the Cold War, when the Soviet Union was challenging America's unearned global supremacy, there was nothing that the Soviets wouldn't do to win. As an admittedly more backward country, this involved copying and, in fact, stealing a lot of ideas from the West. A wide range of Soviet products were simply clones of Western ones.

The Makarov 9mm Pistol was a rip-off of the German Walther 9mm Ultra, the Soviet Gaz Mini Truck was a Ford AA truck without the Ford logo, the Tupolev TU-4 bomber was simply a steal of the Boeing B-29, and the Vyatka moped, was an all too humble tribute to the mighty Vespa. The list is endless.

"OCCUPATION IS OCCUPATION!": AN INTERVIEW WITH ALEXANDR DUGIN

Prof. Dugin, the NSA spying scandal caused a deep impact on German-American relations. We Germans have been told for decades that Washington is our "friend" and "partner". Now many Germans have come to realize that the US has been behaving more or less like an occupation force. Why did it take so long to realize that?
