HOW SMALL GENETIC DIFFERENCES CREATE RACIAL DIVERSITY

This article was originally published at Alternative Right on the 26th of August, 2013. It is based on an earlier article published in the October 2005 issue of Identity, the magazine of the BNP that John Bean edited for several years. This version includes some input from Roger Pearson, a Professor of Anthropology, particularly in the section on the origins of European man.

Change the people and you change everything.

When the Human Genome Project was completed in 2000, it was widely touted that its result showed no genetic basis for race. In fact some scientists of the liberal-left consensus went so far as to dub race a “biological fiction.” Developments since then have clearly demonstrated that quite small genetic differences can produce disproportionate results that substantiate the fact that racial differences are a reality and that they are more complex than just differences in skin colour and hair texture.

RACE and IQ RELATED GENES

Summary: Over the past 5 years, a variety of specific genes have been shown to influence IQ. Versions of these genes which lead to higher intelligence are consistently found to be more common in Whites than in Blacks. The difference between Asians and Whites is less clear. The consistency of these findings, which have been replicated across two genetic databases, makes an egalitarian view of racial intelligence differences implausible. This research also suggests that selection, instead of genetic drift, causes racial intelligence differences because IQ-related genes are more racially differentiated than most genes are. In fact, they are more racially differentiated than height related genes are, suggesting that selection for racial intelligence differences was stronger than selection for racial height differences.

WHY THE SINGULARITY WILL NOT HAPPEN

by Daryl Withycombe

Those who want a prediction for our future as a species that is both positive and plausible often turn to the term “singularity.” This refers to a moment when our technology reaches such an advanced stage that it changes human nature and magically creates a new Utopia from our wiser, more advanced selves. Technologies commonly mentioned include human biological enhancement, artificial intelligence, brain-computer interfaces and transhumanism. But how likely is this singularity, given larger trends?

IDIOT OF THE MONTH: NICK CLEGG

This is a video of Nick Clegg, leader of Britain's most Europhile political party the LibDems making yet another pointless speech. This time he's praising some Jewish initiative, but it could just as easily have been sucking up to some other non-White group or privileged minority, like gays or feminists, because the platitudes resorted to are almost entirely interchangeable. The only real point of interest is near the beginning of the video, when he says something blatantly absurd:
"The Liberal Democrats will always stand up for a Britain that is open, tolerant, and diverse. It's in our DNA."
Of course, Clegg is worried about UKIP's appeal to the nationalist sensibilities of British voters and is awkwardly trying to get his slice of the "national pride pie." He implies that there is something unique about certain British values and then states quite clearly that, rather than just being the result of culture or education, these values are in fact rooted in the genes of the British people – the blood of the volk!

This is a big step for a typical blank-slate progressive like Clegg to take. The only problem is that the values he cites – tolerance and openness – are exactly the same ones most conducive to opening the borders, mass immigration, and racial replacement. So, what he's really saying is: "being bred out of existence is in our genes," and implying that the values he is extolling are therefore in the process of destroying themselves.

REVIEW OF STEVEN PINKER'S "THE BETTER ANGELS OF OUR NATURE"

The Better Angels of Our Nature

I started this book 99.5% sure violence had declined over time. I finished it 65% sure violence had declined over time and 100% sure that Steven Pinker needs a more aggressive editor.

Everyone liked this book, but it rubbed me the wrong way. It’s also really long.

Here’s a basic summary. The book covers six trends that reduce violence: 1) the move to “agricultural civilizations;” 2) the rise of central authorities that dominate significant territories; 3) the humanitarian revolution; 4) the “Long Peace” following WWII; 5) the decline in organized conflicts more broadly; 6) the growth of the human rights movement.

Five historical forces are added to these trends to complete the explanation of the declining violence: 1) the leviathan; 2) commerce; 3) feminization; 4) cosmopolitanism; and 5) the rise of reason.

Once he lays these ideas, we begin a very long (seriously, it’s really long) analysis of just how violent old civilizations were.

I’m going to cut the BS right here. If you want to read some analyses of the good points of the book and how smart Pinker is, you can find such analyses all over the internet. I’m just going to tell you what’s wrong with this book and Pinker’s thesis that violence has declined over time. The fact that I’m only focusing on the bad should not be taken to mean that I thought the book was all bad – it definitely has some good portions and some very solid arguments.

CHINA ENGINEERING GENIUS BABIES

While scientific work in the West continues to be constrained by the dogma of human equality and therefore focuses predominantly on relatively expensive surgical and medicinal therapies to retrospectively improve the condition of individual humans, the Chinese, free from such dogmatic constraints are employing state-of-the-art-gene sequencing technologies as part of a state sponsored eugenics programme aimed at achieving significant advances in the quality of their future generations.

BGI Shenzhen, known as the Beijing Genomics Institute prior to 2008, is one of the world’s premier genome sequencing centres and was created in 1999.
