Many Americans acknowledge the need for an open and honest discussion about race, but Jared Taylor has been doing exactly that for the last 25 years and that is why he has been so vilified. His honesty and his openness in discussing race and all the different aspects of race are the very reasons why those who hypocritically demand a conversation on race do not like him.

Over the weekend of March 9-11, the activist organization Identity Evropa (IE) held its first national conference with the theme, “Leading our People Forward 2018.” The meeting brought together some 150 members in a beautiful location for what can only be called a resounding success.

Next time you encounter a so-called “conservative,” you might ask them what goal conservatives aim to achieve. You will usually either get an answer about traditional values, or a short discourse on the Constitution (if in Europe, they will talk about social benefits instead).

Very few of them will point out that the word “conservative” comes from the Latin word for “to preserve,” and that this means they are preserving something. If you bring this up, they will probably answer something about the founding of the nation, or maybe a favorite decade like the 1980s or 1950s. Anything farther back is a mystery, except the founding, which since no one remembers it, is handy like a movie screen for projecting upon.

It was with some trepidation that I arrived in Washington D.C. for the NPI Conference, expecting demonstrations and protests, especially since Trump had won the election. Unfortunately, between the brashness of demonstrators and the fallout from the media after the conference, little attention has been paid to its actual content. Indeed, I was eager to read Matt Forney's piece for RightOn, but this almost exclusively addressed confrontations with the demonstrators. Nevertheless, I thank him for doing so, as their "deplorable" behavior was completely ignored by the mainstream media, which managed to pick only the pits from our bowl of cherries.

DIVERSITY THROUGH WHITE SURPREMACISM

In his latest article at Amren, Jared Taylor has reproduced the speech he delivered at the National Policy Institute conference in Washington DC on 27th February, 2015. Called White Survival: Beyond Left and Right, it presents one of the main ideas now being used to promote White Nationalism – the idea of "protecting biodiversity." In his article, Taylor, somewhat tongue-in-cheek equates the White man with the Cuban crocodile and the Kretschmarr Cave mold beetle:

"And what about conserving white people biologically? They are a small minority of the world population–7 or 8 percent–and some of them are breeding with other groups, just like the Cuban crocodile. But anyone who says maybe we should think about the long-term prospects of white people–kind of like the way we do with the Kretschmarr Cave mold beetle–is no longer a conservationist. He’s a white supremacist."

If this had been a speech given to a conference of liberal ecologists, then we could score it highly on tactical brilliance. But it was not. It was given to an NPI conference, a gathering that typically attracts a hard-core audience of White nationalists and identitarians seeking inspiring insights to fuel their continuing struggle.

BLACK PEOPLE: MENACE OR NUISANCE

There’s no point in trying to deny that many within the alternative right and white nationalist movements aren’t especially fond of black people. The implications of low average black IQ, the incessant grievance mongering of professional black leaders, as well as rowdy and violent black misbehavior are recurring themes when discussing the black question. Aside from the most extreme of white nationalists, you won’t see anyone calling for the extermination or ethnic cleansing of black people. Nevertheless, the general sentiment is that black people are at best an unwelcome presence and thorn in the side, and at worst a hostile population that poses a great danger to white people. Prominent white nationalist Jared Taylor has spent much of his career documenting the annoyances and even violence that blacks inflict on whites, which has culminated in his recent book Face to Face With Race. There are many things that separate the United States from other Western countries, but one of the most defining is the presence of blacks.

Let’s just be honest: everyone hates blacks. Even middle-class and wealthy blacks hate blacks, if Chris Rock’s Niggas vs. Black People sketch is any indication. The SJW media wallpapers over the worst black behavior, but with the implosion of the Ferguson narrative and a million other miscalculations from the PC left, whites are rapidly getting fed up with what is basically a hostile, parasitic population in their midst.

Face to Face with Race, Jared Taylor’s compilation of whites’ experiences with diversity, is a misnomer: it should have been called Face to Face with Blacks. Latinos and Asians are glossed over in its 200-plus pages; its primary subject is black people. Its protagonists are ordinary whites, some of them liberals, who became cynical race realists after having to deal with black perfidy on a daily basis, whether it was in the classroom, at their jobs, or in prison.

In my most recent VDare piece, in which I argued that the Alternative Right needs to move beyond being a culture of critique, and devote more energy to formulating an appealing and intellectually coherent ideal, in passing, I criticized Steve Sailer’s Citizenism as unfit for this role.
