There is a lot on both sides that can be said about Roosh, the manosphere dating guru. Like most of us, he has his good points and his bad points. But one thing is clear, the recent SPLC-inspired decision by Amazon to ban his new book Game, just as it was breaking into the top 1000 best-sellers, is an attack on all voices on the Dissident Right. Show your support for Roosh as he struggles to adjust to his new situation by drinking copious amounts of soy juice to lower his testosterone and reduce his anger issues over the banning.

In this modern era of love and tolerance – where "hate speech" and "thought crime" must be 'loved' to death by banning them, suspending Twitter and Facebook accounts, and having people fired and thrown into the outer darkness – it seems that there is a real hunger for hate figures, those convenient parties like Emmanuel Goldstein in 1984, who can serve as a focus for the proverbial "Two Minutes Hate" sessions that social media and comment boards now make eminently feasible.

ANTI-FRAGILITY: RIDING NASSIM TALEB'S TIGER

An essential concept for understanding the Old (or fake) Right and its inability to defeat the Left is "fragility" – normally defined as the quality of being easily broken or damaged. It has been noted that such right wingers are people who either want to ignore momentum and impose a status quo, which means being Conservative, or LARPers, who yearn for some previous unobtainable moment in history. Many of the disagreements on the right basically boil down to "My LARPing doesn’t line up with your LARPing."

But the essential point about those on the Old Right is their sense of fragility, a feeling that any change or shift will make them lose out in terms of income and social status. This inevitably pushes then to the wrong side of the System. Rather than their defended position, it is this fragility and the fears it generates that comes to define them.

They effectively act like people with osteoporosis fearful of any knock or bump. This is why you see New York Conservatives hobnobbing with Democrats – and submitting to their anti-White agenda. Also, many millennials move to the Left against their better inclinations simply because it gets them a job, money, and social recognition, while people on the Right live in fear of SJWs and "social shaming."

AN ENDORSEMENT OF ROOSH'S 'NEOMASCULINITY’ MANIFESTO

Roosh is a clever entrepreneur who has mastered the art of converting contemporary male angst and sexual frustration into sheckels with a flashy advertisement-laden click-bait website, Return of Kings. Much of what’s on the site is inflammatory and indefensible, and I’m not endorsing pick-up artistry or the denigration of women. In hindsight, though, even the offensive material kind of makes sense, as a man with a vision must necessarily construct himself a platform upon which to manifest his vision. Like it or not, Return of Kings is Roosh’s soapbox, and it’s a sturdy soapbox. He has a large audience, a solid pool of popular writers, and an ever-expanding monetization framework to help guarantee that he remains independent.

MANOSPHERE RISING

Roosh was recently pilloried on the feckless Dr Oz’s show. Dr Oz is the sort of hack who practices pop medicine and has been criticized for often endorsing unscientific nonsense to the gullible masses. Nevertheless despite Roosh’s lackluster performance on the show, many regard this as a victory for the manosphere. It indicates that the manosphere is gaining mainstream recognition (or notoriety) and no publicity is bad publicity. I believe there are a couple of reasons why Roosh is despised and I shall briefly discuss each one.

Roosh V recently made his appearance on The Dr. Oz Show, a TV doctor who got his big break on the The Oprah Winfrey Show. Oz's whole schtick is to peddle non-scientific or pseudo-scientific feel-good health Pollyannas, aimed at the kind of woman who pays undue attention to her horoscope.

For Roosh appearing on the show was a win-win, even though Oz had invited him on to reveal how "evil" he was and to signal to his audience, disproportionately made up of tubby women, how much he believed in defending their "inner beauty" (presumably kept tucked up tight somewhere between their feminist bile duct and intestinal sac of fart gas).

One of the most liberating and eye-opening revelations I ever had was stumbling across the Anonymous Conservative blog, because it provides scientific evidence for something we’ve all suspected but were afraid to articulate: liberalism is literally a mental disorder. Once you junk the premise that feminists, anti-racists, men’s rights activists, and other leftists are well-meaning but misguided, and realize that they’re deranged, self-destructive lunatics, a lot of things become easier to explain.
