It seems that the Irish have voted in an overwhelming landslide to scrap one of the most distinctive elements of their society, namely the Eighth Amendment, a constitutional commitment to opposing abortion.

Only three years ago, it was a vote to allow homosexuals to "marry."

The entire human race are neither my brothers nor kin. There is nothing noble about non-discrimination—concepts such as love, trust and brotherhood lose all meaning when discrimination is removed.

Sorry, bleeding hearts—love does not exist without discrimination. The person who "loves everyone" actually loves no one.  Imagine if I loved everyone as much as I loved my wife...this is a ridiculous notion—I love, honor and would lay down my life defending my wife before any other human on Earth precisely because I discriminate. Similarly, I strive to fill my inner circle with people who are strong, noble of character and wise because I discriminate.

"A man with a plan" – that's how Newt Gingrich came across in a recent video that many of you must have seen by now. The guy, recently cited as a possible Trump VP pick, looked impressive – as if glowing with the reflected energy of his master, the Trumpenfuhrer – but once the piping-hot talking point cooled to room temperature the problems became apparent. But don't blame Newt. In the wake of events like the Great Truck-F**k of Nice. we all tend to shoot a bit from the hip or like a ghetto kid robbing a liquor store. At times like this, it's quite difficult not to grab the shitty end of all the sticks being waved around.

Recently a young Jewish man was stopped at one of America’s many institutions of higher political correctness, and castigated for the "hate crime" of "cultural appropriation," as he was observed to be in possession of an extremely straggly set of dreadlocks. This is a style of hair normally associated with people of sub-Saharan African ancestry.

Sorry about the title of this piece, but that’s what happens when you follow the insane thought processes of Liberals, the Liberal in question being Hillary Clinton, who is enjoying her last few months in the spotlight by telling American people who they are not.

Telling American people who they are not has become increasingly popular in recent years, partly because defining them positively may be divisive, unless one adheres to the blandest and most abstract definitions, e.g. people who believe in "freedom," human rights, and the "American dream." This is about as meaningful as saying "people who like the wind in their hair, the sun on their backs, and a whiter than white smile."

THE FUTURE OF THE WEST: WHITE REVOLUTION, BRAZILIFICATION, OR ARGENTINIZATION?

A wise man – presumably one sitting on a rock in a lotus position – once said, "Nothing is as difficult to predict as the future."

Indeed, it is usually pointless to attempt it, except at the highest "macro" level, where we can confidently say sweeping things like "The Earth will eventually be swallowed by the Sun," "Empires collapse," or "Democracy is unworkable in the (not so) long term."

But despite the poor returns in terms of marketable facts, predicting the future is still worth attempting because it helps develop a certain kind of engaged consciousness that might one day manifest as willed control of our destiny, rather than passive acquiescence – the difference between being truly human and being an animal.

One of the things that distinguishes the alternative right from all other political and ideological movements is our readiness to contemplate this ever unreliable future. This is one of the reasons why we are the most humanistic of ideologies.

THE GREAT ST. PADDY'S DAY RUMBLE

It started off innocently enough, with a Matt Damon quote used by Richard Spencer to extol the beauty and tragedy of America's former WASP elite in his article Kiss Me I'm WASP Why I Can't Stand St. Patrick's Day.

But, unfortunately, those of Irish descent – and other non-WASPs – in the Radix comment boards kicked off and started breaking the internet furniture over the tricky questions of White identity and whether St. Patrick’s Day was a celebration of the underdog and manifestation of the untermensch.

Disturbingly for Spencer, this little tiff, by showing the fractiousness of Whites over something as basic as identity, calls into question the vision of a grand White nationalism that Radix and NPI favours.

We—as a people—have no spiritual identity. Not that pan-Europeans lack spiritual impulse, or spiritual distinctions—we have all that, from New Age to Calvinism—what we lack is an identity of ourselves as a cohesive group of mutually respecting believers: a spiritual identity that encloses all of us as members of our Folk. And it has been to our detriment—it took a long time coming, granted—but we now face a withered future. Shriveled in spirit, shriveled in self-respect, shriveled in unity. We are decaying, spiritually, and have been doing so for a long time (almost 2000 years)—what’s more, it is just getting faster and faster—take the last 60 years as a mere foretaste of what’s coming.

As demonstrated by the riots across America, Blacks can’t handle the truth, the truth being that some cop shot some thug in order to save his life. When the shooting happened there were riots, and now that the decision has been made to clear the police officer there are yet more riots. Looks like any excuse to torch a looted liquor store.

Sensitive Whites talk about the "tragedy" and send their reporters into danger to show empathy with the rioters; while some even suggest that Darren Wilson, regardless of his innocence, should have been offered up as a sacrifice for the greater good.

WHAT MAINSTREAM CONSERVATIVES FAIL TO UNDERSTAND

I avoid the sports pages because they are the officially approved method of administering the “opiate of the masses,” along with the rest of the media products that have no actual use in a healthy life. Occasionally however the sports pages produce something of interest because, much like the audience for GamerGate, the sports audience is aggressive and realistic. Too much intervention by cultural Marxism or PC and they head for the hills.

Any civilization can carry a fair proportion of freaks and weirdos, but the West is clearly overdosing on them. With a culture that leaches out the conventional components of identity – race, nationality, age, religion, personal achievements, etc. – people are increasingly left with an "identity vacuum," providing a strong growth medium for particularly outlandish forms of "identity construction," such as the growing trend towards celebomorphic plastic surgery.

I have been asked many times to write a column about Afrikaner identity. It's a task I have always dreaded, for it will need to also involve examining questions like: can an atheist be an Afrikaner? Similarly, can an English-speaking white South African be an Afrikaner? Can Afrikaner political parties not supporting self-determination still be called "Afrikaner"? Or even: can non-whites be Afrikaners? Any honest elucidation of (the) Afrikaner identity must also include the less savoury aspects of said people. But then; nobody is perfect. That said, here goes…

Afrikaner identity, like all others, is comprised of three distinct, yet intimately intertwined aspects: the individual, the collective and the nation.
