WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM BOLSONARO?

by Trad News

Brazilliant! As widely expected, the hard-right, populist candidate Jair Bolsonaro has won the 2nd and final round of the Brazilian Presidential Election, taking 55% of the vote against the 45% for Fernando Haddad from the left-wing Workers Party. Notice the conspicuous lack of centrist candidates in the final round? This was a hard-right guy against a hard-left guy and luckily the right guy won.

PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD MUST STOP INTERFERING IN THEIR "OWN" POLITICAL SYSTEMS

by Duns Scotus

Recently the Deep State, which runs America under a thin veneer of fake democracy that allows "the people" to put random 'pop icons' into the White House from where they are duly controlled, has been having a little trouble with the latest of these pop icons, namely Donald Trump.

CENTRIST ESTABLISHMENT CRUSHED IN ITALY

by Trad News

The Italian political establishment has now been crushed in Italy after a deal was made between two radical, insurgent, populist parties that scored big in the country's recent election.

DEFENDING ANDREW ANGLIN AND QUESTIONING THE FUTURE OF THE ALT-RIGHT

/pol/

As the Alt Right attempts to find its balance after the election of Donald Trump threw it into “and now what’s next?” mode, it is clear that the most entertaining sites — The Daily Stormer and The Right Stuff — command a huge amount of traffic. This has caused an impulse among many Alt Right sites to imitate this classic formula.

However, this runs into what we may call “the Stormfront Effect,” which is what happens when a relatively small but very active group online seems to represent more of public opinion than it actually does, at least until people realize that this group consists of people who are mostly minor participants in our society. Then, people stop giving it credence.

CONTRA COSMOPOLITANISM

In common with many others in this movement, I see European racial self-defence as the foundation of the Alt-Right. This does not mean, as some would have it, that this foundation is also the pinnacle, or that the Alt-Right can be reduced to it and nothing else. But in a future where the European people have been replaced, and the civilisation of Europe no longer exists in any form distinct from the modernist anti-culture to which it gave birth, everything else good and true on the Alt-Right ends up reduced to so much meaningless blog chatter.

However, I have long been aware of a serious shortcoming in ethnonationalism, which runs through all of its discourse like cracks in a wall. On the one hand, most if not all of the ethnonationalist charges against ‘foreigners’ (blacks, Muslims, Jews etc.) are both carefully reasoned and backed up with solid facts. On the other hand, cheek by jowl with these, we find statements and assumptions about ‘our own people’ (white Europeans) that are not only arbitrary and slapdash, but do not even accord with basic common sense.

TRUMP'S VISION EMERGES

Trump rehearsing for his speech to Congress.

by Colin Liddell

Hitler's intentions were very clear to anyone who bothered to read Mein Kampf, and the same can be said about Donald Trump and his speeches. The speech he gave a week or so ago to a joint session of Congress was the most high profile and important speech he has given yet, and comes after five weeks of frenetic activity by his administration. It is therefore well worth examining for clues as to what Trump's vision and intentions are.

The clarity of the vision was partly obscured by some distracting PC touches. But, taken in context, with other statements by the President, a fairly coherent picture emerges of what Trump thinks it is possible for him to achieve.

WHO ARE ITALY'S FIVE STAR MOVEMENT?

There has never been a year like 2016—Brexit, Trump, and in Italy a movement that goes beyond conventional party politics, ideology, and organization. YouTube vlogger State of the Nation attempts to explain Beppe Grillo:s Five Star Movement, a revolt against the endemic corruption of Italian politics and a truly radical attempt to harness the internet and social media to cut out the party political middle man of politics. Is it just a flash in the pan or will its populism overthrow the EU and prepare the way for a more nationalist Italy?

ELECTING THE STRONG HORSE

The Philippine Elections recently concluded here in "Flipland," and the new President-Elect is a guy named Rodrigo “The Punisher” Duterte, a political outsider who skyrocketed to fame partly due to widespread public dissatisfaction with establishment politics (which in the Philippines’ context is synonymous with oligarchical politics) and partly due to his assertive, no-nonsense, alpha-as-fuck charisma.

Duterte originally never wanted to run for president. He only entered the election after he was forced to do so by his many supporters. Thus, his rise to national fame is the result of push factors (he was pushed into office) instead of the usual pull factors (i.e. trying to attract as much political capital from as many different directions as possible). Like Trump, Duterte represents something relatively new to Philippine politics, because he invalidated the assumptions of the ruling political class and exposed the weakness of the political establishment.

I ONLY TELL THE TRUTH

You may not want to hear it, but to quote the great man himself, “I only tell the truth.” And the truth is that the Alt Right’s fawning over Trump is embarrassing. Maybe we can ignore his boorish behavior. Let us also leave aside the question of whether he is sincere—in 2012 he complained that Mitt Romney’s “self-deportation” plan was inhumane and alienated Hispanics, then in 2015 he launched his Presidential campaign by claiming that Mexico was sending us criminals and rapists. What is the actual substance of his platform?

TRUMP AND THE METAPOLITICS OF WINNING

Donald Trump, New Hampshire, and the Alt-Right

by Richard Wolstencroft
"What master are you forced to Serve?
With every sinew, every nerve,
What harvest can you hope to have?"
Baudelaire - The Flowers of Evil.
Donald Trump is here for the win, here to set America Free and make it Great again! He just took New Hampshire and is now well on his way to winning the Republican nomination and possibly the Presidency. I thought I’d pen this essay to show my support for "the Don," whom I like and endorse, and to also point out a few things as a foreign (Australian) observer of international and right-wing politics.
