THE WAR ON CHASTITY

The following is an excerpt from Andy Nowicki's upcoming publication, tentatively titled Demon in the Rough

I am not a theologian by training, and only an amateur one by temperament. But it seems self-evident, even to a rank layman like me, that in our time the primary rhetorical strategy used by enemies of decency, civilization, and faith is to engage in a general and unabating mockery of any and all forms of chastity.

THE PORN GULAG: "PRETTY MAIDS ALL IN A ROW"

The following passage is taken from Andy Nowicki's collection of essays, Ruminations of a Low-Status Male, Volume 3: On Being UnwantedVolume 1 and Volume 2 are also available for purchase.

A lesser-known film than "The Graduate," but one which charts roughly the same thematic course, albeit in a rather more openly sleazy manner, is Roger Vadim’s 1971 movie “Pretty Maids All In a Row.”

IDEOLOGIZED SMUT AND THE SEXUAL REVOLUTION

The following passage is taken from Andy Nowicki's as yet unpublished collection of essays, Ruminations of a Low-Status Male, Volume 3. Volume 1 and Volume 2 are currently available for purchase.

Why did the sexual revolution take place? How did traditional notions of wedlock first get undermined? Who sought to effect this massive change, and to what end?

These questions are aptly investigated elsewhere, and are beyond the scope of my inquiry, which is composed for an altogether different purpose. That said, I think it must be acknowledged that these “changes and rearranges” didn’t just happen by accident. These trends were, to a greater or lesser degree, shoved upon us by those who have the power and resources to engage in effective trend-setting and opinion-shaping.

HEY THERE, JUDGY GIRL

“Georgy Girl,” a 1967 hit from Australia’s legendary folk act The Seekers, is generally thought of as an innocuous little number, complete with delicately pretty harmonies and even a cute little “whistling solo.”

Truth be told, however, a toxic heart lurks beneath all the seeming sweetness and light.

The subject of the song is a young woman named Georgy, who seems quite satisfied with her life. Indeed, the demeanor she displays is spirited, even “fancy-free.”  However, the “judgy” female narrator of “Georgy Girl” thinks she knows Georgy better, and suspects that all is not well behind the girl’s happy-seeming exterior.

MALIGNANT HYPERGAMY AND CIVILIZATIONAL DECAY

The passage below is taken from Andy Nowicki’s just released collection Ruminations of a Low-Status Male, Volume 2, now available for purchase (along with Volume 1) in paperback and on Kindle.

In previous times– before the sexual revolution and the attendant collapse of the family and sexual morality—the malignantly hypergamic female impulse was contained and curtailed by social convention. A woman was scorned as a tramp if she proved unfaithful—in thought, word, or deed—to her husband. Similarly, the sort of man who seduced an already-married woman was castigated as a cad. Such a one was liable to be lynched, or at least to lose his livelihood.

Indeed, all of this relentless social shaming served a crucial cultural purpose: the societal enforcement of monogamy prevented the highest status-men from monopolizing the bulk of women, leaving the bulk of the “betas” out in the cold.

BEYOND PRUDERY AND PERVERSION

Of the various manifestations of the egalitarian cultural revolution that has transpired in the Western world over the past half century, none have been quite so enduring or become so deeply rooted in the culture of modern society as the so-called “sexual revolution.” Indeed, it might well be argued that even the supposed commitment of Western cultural elites in the early twenty-first century to the ethos of racial egalitarianism is not quite as profound as their commitment to the preservation and expansion of the victories of the sexual revolution. The sexual revolution itself brings with it many of its own manifestations. These include the now prevailing feminist ethos, the liberalization of both popular opinion and public legislation concerning sexual conduct, abortion and contraception, divorce, the normalization of homosexuality accompanied by the growth of powerful homosexual political interest groups, and the identification of an ever-growing list of “gender identity” or “sexual orientation” groups who are subsequently assigned their position in the Left’s pantheon of the oppressed.

RUBBER SOULS

The ideology of sexual liberation continues to be the abiding obsession of high-profile opinion shapers in the post-modern Western world. Indeed, in the mindset of today's ruling class, the drive to undermine traditional notions of libidinal restraint trumps all other agendas, including such familiar standards as the avid celebration of "diversity" and the fierce fomentation of white self-hatred. If, as the saying goes, the Puritan's greatest abiding fear was that somebody, somewhere was having a good time, our contemporary societal elite's most visceral apprehension stems from the notion that somebody, somewhere may be learning to be—horror of horrors—sexually repressed.
