RICHARD SPENCER IS DEATH

It's an article of faith here in the Affirmative Right that the main reason the Alternative Right fucked up was Richard Spencer. In short Spencer is death.

I could get into some arcane theory about why Spencer could be a Fed, etc., but under orders from my Chief Editor, who has a fair degree of insight into Spencer, this is a non-starter.

Left-liberal attitudes and habits of mind may at one time have been radical, provocative, and gutsy, but today they are staid, stale, conventional, and boring. Any honest contemporary cultural Marxist will have to admit that, politically speaking, his side now holds all significant power. Those who openly decline to subscribe to the ideological establishment's point of view on such matters as race, gender, and sexuality have in effect committed social suicide; having put themselves utterly at the mercy of the powers-that-be, such unfortunates have left themselves open to attack by legions of official Zeitgeist-enforcers and their numerous toadying minions.

At a conference in Washington DC in September 2011 writer, musician and artist Alex Kurtagic delivered a lecture entitled "Masters of the Universe," in which he argued that we must win the cultural war against the Left as a necessary prelude to real political change. The speech, full of original and provocative ideas, fascinated me and I determined to ask Mr Kurtagic for an interview so that I might explore some of his ideas further. Fortunately, he agreed.

Alternative Right recently published a response to my Radix review of Christopher Nolan's Interstellar. Written by Eugene Westerly, its very title, Space: the Final Capitulation suggested that the writer had not read my take on Elysium before writing his piece. Originally titled Elysium: an Allegory of White Flight, this review was first published in August 2013 at Alternative Right, and more recently at Radix after Richard Spencer and I had recorded our podcast on Interstellar.

My Elysium piece insisted on the dangers of using outer space as an escape to the problems facing us down here. I could have simply posted the link in the comments section, but while reading Eugene's article, I found that more explanations were in order, on the subject of White flight as well as others.

EQUALITY AS AN EVIL

The morality of egalitarianism is never questioned by the establishment power structure or by the vast majority of citizens; it is, in fact, a taken-for granted assumption that exists outside the scope of acceptable debate.

There's a great sketch by the British comedy duo Mitchell and Webb, where they play two members of an SS division. During a lull in the fighting on the Eastern Front, the Mitchell Nazi turns to the Webb Nazi and says, "Have you looked at the badges on our caps recently?" before announcing, "They’ve got skulls on them!!!" I was reminded of this scene when I read Alex Kurtagic's otherwise excellent article Women on the Left and saw that his composite photo of female right-wing paragons included an undue amount of Nazi eye candy.
