Pity the Uighurs. Over three years after I wrote about the plight of China’s beleaguered Turkic minority, their predicament has only gotten worse. Not content to crack down on sporadic outbursts of Uighur rage, China — still too big and non-white to oppose — now insists on regulating all aspects of Uighur life; and the result is a surveillance state on steroids.

THE EMPIRE HAS NO CLOTHES
Even as the plight of Syrians continues to make headlines, Yemenis being decimated by Saudi Arabia arouse no sympathy. Well, I shouldn’t say no sympathy. Just recently, liberal interventionist Samantha Power decried Saudi depredations. How noble!
Unfortunately, there’s one little problem: America is the chief enabler of the onslaught, which is why most of the world thinks Power is full of shit; they recognize that American foreign policy belies her moral rhetoric. Of course, it’s always been blindingly obvious that American elites are lying when they wax eloquent about “human rights” and “democracy.” Instead, imperial interests inform their decisions. Why else would they make such cozy deals with thedevil Saudi Arabia (or for that matter, the various other dictatorships they’ve propped up)? Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to answer that one.

Following Mitt Romney's demographically determined loss to Barack Obama in the 2012 presidential election, one astute observer had this to say about the Stupid Party and race:
"Republicans didn’t have anything going for them with respect to Latinos and with respect to Asians... The Democrats didn’t have a policy for dealing with illegal immigrants, but what they did have going for them is they weren’t mean-spirited about it... They didn’t know what the policy was, but what they were is they were kind."
Who could this erudite individual possibly be? It could very well be some cuckservative who labors under the delusion that Latinos are "natural conservatives" who only vote Democrat because they're repelled by the GOP's (rather feeble) opposition to immigration. Or it could be some far left progressive disgusted with the mainstream Democratic Party and how they screw over people of color with a smile.

Lately, I stumbled upon an article on a site called The Federalist which—if the countless comments are any indication—is a popular purveyor of mainstream conservatism. Along with attacking Dota's old post on National Capitalism, this tirade of an article trots out all the hackneyed Conservatism 101 talking points. Unless you've grown so sick of the modern West's dysfunction that you've decided to completely tune out, then you're all undoubtedly aware of the rape wave that transpired in Cologne, Germany, on New Year's Eve. Understandably, those of us on the alt right are outraged by these attacks on German women. Colin Liddell has already written an excellent article on migrant rape, highlighting the many problems it poses for modern Western countries like Germany. However, what rankles me so much about this incident – just the tip of the iceberg as far as diversity related rapes in Europe are concerned – are the responses of various white elites and pundits, which range from lackluster to downright absurd.
THE LIMITS OF COMPASSION AND THE MORALITY OF NATIONALISM

In my last post, I used an image from a humorous meme called "Islamic Rage Boy," which uses well-timed photos to regale us with hilarious facial expressions. As funny as the pictures are, the man behind the meme, Kashmiri activist Shakeel Ahmad Bhat, has lived a rather harrowing life. It's no wonder he's so angry. If I were illiterate, crippled on account of being tortured, and had watched my sister get thrown out of a window, I too would be enraged; and to top it all off, the poor man is now an object of international ridicule.
The reason why I bring up someone like Islamic Rage Boy is because he made me ponder immigration, nationalism, and the supposed obligation that Western countries have to allow destitute people like Bhat to emigrate and seek a better life. Obviously, the nationalistic alt right would prefer that the likes of Bhat stay put in their home countries. But in my opinion, for nationalism to function as a truly powerful force, it requires more than a defensive fear about immigration and shifting demographics – as rational as such fear may be.

Look, I get it: Islam and Western values do not mix. I'm also of the opinion that Muslims – along with other non-Western peoples – should mostly reside in their countries of origin. Now, with that out of the way, can people please put an end to this fatuous fixation with the evils of Sharia? Apparently they can't, if this embarrassing story from Virginia – where schools were shut down following an Arabic calligraphy lesson – is any indication. If only these hysterical parents could devote half as much energy to resisting multiculturalism, feminism, and other manifestations of modern liberalism.
But of course, they can't, and that's where Muslim bashing comes in. I have argued before that anti-Muslim sentiment is little more than avoidance and misdirected anger. White Americans are clearly upset about their declining status, pessimistic about the US's future, and uneasy about changing demographics. Unfortunately, since white identity has been rendered so taboo, white conservatives can't take that extra step and unapologetically promote their group interests. Instead, they're stuck attacking safe targets like Muslims, who represent a tiny – and ultimately powerless – fraction of the unwelcome change that's bringing about their displacement.

By now, people of myriad ideological persuasions have weighed in on the latest tragic attack to rock France. Liberals exhort us to not give in to hatred and embrace Islamophobic rhetoric, lest we play into ISIS’s hands. Just about everyone in the alt right – as well as mainstream conservative pundits and politicians – has criticized Islam, Muslim immigration, or even multiculturalism itself. Certain individuals have been less than thoughtful, with one Israeli rabbi asserting that this tragedy was payback for European anti-Semitism. Just thought white American conservatives who slavishly worship Israel should know just whom they’re subsidizing.

During my first interview with Robert Stark, Robert and I concurred that the best ideological platform would be an eclectic mix of Pat Buchanan and Ralph Nader’s beliefs. We further discussed this stance when hanging out in SF, and Robert even requested that I dedicate a post to this issue. On account of the presidential campaign heating up, I figure that now is as good a time as any to honor his request and expand on this topic.
1984 AND THE IMPORTANCE OF HISTORICAL AND GLOBAL AWARENESS
Inspired by Dota’s old post on 1984, I recently finished reading George Orwell’s dystopian novel. This won’t be an extensive review, as he already covered the book’s most pertinent points; I will likewise presume that readers are already familiar with the main plot, so I won’t provide much context.
HOW TO WIN BY REFUSING TO SAY SORRY
Despite the best efforts of Western elites to morally browbeat Hungary into accepting Syrian refugees, the obstinate Eastern European nation refuses to budge. Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orban – with the enthusiastic support of his people – has steadfastly refused to bow down to Germany’s “moral imperialism” and accept Angela Merkel’s refugee quotas. Insisting that Hungary lacks the resources and cultural infrastructure to accommodate thousands of outsiders, Orban’s spokesman then cited the failure of Western multiculturalism as reason to seal Hungary’s borders.

It looks like the world’s oldest profession continues to be attacked from the newest crop of do-gooder liberals. One example comes from an editorial in Al Jazeera where the author, one Simon Hedlin, asserts that the “Swedish model” is the best means of tackling sex trafficking/prostitution. Basically, the Swedish model decriminalizes the selling of sex – which lets the hookers off the hook – while penalizing buyers. I’m not really interested in delving into the whole debate over the morality of prostitution itself, as the late George Carlin said it far better than I ever could:

Just recently, the term “cuckservative” – popularized by the alternative right – has incurred the wrath of mainstream white conservatives. Gregory Hood and Matt Forney have both written excellent articles explaining what constitutes cuckservatism, so I don’t really have much to add in this regard.
I’ll just say that I embrace this term, as well as any friction that the word engenders. The term “cuckservative,” provided that it catches on, has the potential to reform an increasingly stagnant and feckless mainstream conservative establishment; as of now, the American right continues to get thoroughly trounced on just about every issue. Gay marriage is the law of the land, transsexuals such as “Caitlyn” Jenner are lionized, secularism reigns supreme, and non-whites continue to demographically eclipse the people who actually vote Republican.

THE REAL WRONG SIDE OF HISTORY

A common tactic employed by leftists is to accuse their enemies of being on “the wrong side of history.” When I toured UC Santa Cruz around 9 years ago, I recall seeing a mural juxtaposing old school Jim Crow bigotry with current conservative hostility towards homosexual marriage. The image must have caught on, because I could easily find it online.
THE QUALITY OF IMMIGRANTS IS IRRELEVANT

I have repeatedly emphasized elite perfidy; more than anything else, venal and avaricious traitors are the primary culprits of the West’s demise. Therefore, it’s unsurprising that most white elites and talking heads do not hold most of their fellow whites in high esteem. Occasionally, some will even drop the pretense and openly display their utter contempt for the little white people. One such example is this execrable, vomit inducing article by a white Brit named Doug Saunders (Ht: Heartiste):
"The English are more prone than other groups to drop out of school early, to live on welfare benefits, to become unhealthy and to engage in crime. In measures of alcohol abuse, 'trouble with police while drinking' and lawbreaking, they outrank any other ethnic group in Britain (except the Irish). Riots led by ethnic English youths tore the cities of England apart in the summer of 2011, while ethnic Turks, Bangladeshis and Africans guarded shops and became heroes for rescuing people from the riots. There is a constant sense that the poor English are about to break out in violence."While this article is rather old (and some think the author is simply being ironic), it nevertheless touches upon an issue that I’ve long pondered but never discussed: the notion that immigration is a boon on account of white indolence and pathology. This open display of ethnomasochism most explicitly promotes the idea that tireless, hustling immigrants are needed to temper the decadence of slothful whites.

According to a series of Pew surveys, Islamophobia is on the rise in Europe:
"Pew’s 2014 Global Attitudes survey, 26 per cent of us have ‘unfavourable’ attitudes towards Muslims in this country; compare that to 46 per cent in Spain, 53 per cent in Greece and 63 per cent in Italy."The leftist BBC self righteously took pot shots at Greece as Athens was the only major city in all of Europe that refused to permit the construction of a Mosque. It seems that this will no longer be the case as plans for a new Mosque are being discussed.
As I watched the video in the above link I couldn’t help but notice that this hostility to Muslims stems not from religious prejudice, but xenophobia. This brought me back to an excellent point Bay Area Guy had made a while ago about how Muslims had become a legitimate target for pent up anti-immigrant frustration. I suspect this is also the case in Europe. Muslims are bashed especially hard because North American Whites and Europeans are not allowed to bash any other group for fear of being labelled racist.

There’s no point in trying to deny that many within the alternative right and white nationalist movements aren’t especially fond of black people. The implications of low average black IQ, the incessant grievance mongering of professional black leaders, as well as rowdy and violent black misbehavior are recurring themes when discussing the black question. Aside from the most extreme of white nationalists, you won’t see anyone calling for the extermination or ethnic cleansing of black people. Nevertheless, the general sentiment is that black people are at best an unwelcome presence and thorn in the side, and at worst a hostile population that poses a great danger to white people. Prominent white nationalist Jared Taylor has spent much of his career documenting the annoyances and even violence that blacks inflict on whites, which has culminated in his recent book Face to Face With Race. (See Matt Forney’s review).
THE MYTH OF WHITE CHRISTIAN POWER
It’s hardly a secret that in the eyes of most liberals and leftists, white Christians are the embodiment of evil. From the usual tired rhetoric about “privilege” to ominous warnings about the extreme danger posed by the religious right, one could be forgiven for thinking that we’re on the verge of being lorded over by Pat Robertson. Analysts of the Israel-Palestine conflict and the “special relationship” between the United States and Israel often highlight the role of Christian Zionists in strengthening the alliance between the two nations. Regardless of the specific issue at hand, we’re frequently being told that the Christian Right enjoys too much influence and that they’re perpetually up to no good. However, when analyzing the evidence, there is very little to substantiate the assertion that white Christian power is running amok in the United States.
