I am not a White Nationalist.

I’m just not a spineless cuck who pisses his pants every time someone calls him a racist on Facebook. And I don’t let people who I have no respect for tell me who I’m allowed to support or call a friend.

Six years ago, before I ever spoke at an “Alt-Right” event or submitted an article to Alternative Right or Radix or Counter Currents, I wrote an essay titled, “Mighty White.” I stand by it to this day, and my views have changed very little over the years.

What we are witnessing in the ever more aggressive leftist efforts to suppress their political opponents is in many ways fairly familiar. When the status of an existing power structure is threatened, it fights back; and when true believers' ideals are challenged, they lash out.

However I also think there is another element at work here, and here I'm thinking primarily of the lower-order types of Leftists (like the antifa), which is that this has the feel of a kind of Ortegan revolt of the masses. I am not usually in the habit of seeking the aid of past thinkers' insights to form my own ideas—I already know what I think, so why waste my time with them? Here though, I’ll make an exception.

The election of Donald J. Trump reaches to areas beyond politics. It shows a cultural shift against globalism and the farther-Left-than-moderate neoliberalism which drives it. It also shows a population adapting to the diversity agenda of post-WWII by formally adopting identity politics, decoupling self-interest from altruism.

WHY TOKENISM IN VIDEO GAMES IS STUPID

No sooner had the trailer for Rockstar’s hotly anticipated sequel to Red Dead Redemption hit the web than the SJWs were gnashing their teeth over its lack of strong womyn. “… [I]f RDR 2 continues without any sort of major kick-ass woman, it’ll be actually far more male-focused as a story than most classic westerns” wrote Dan Golding at Kotaku. Over at The Mary Sue, Jessica Lachenal linked to various articles about lady outlaws. According to her, the game is bucking tradition if it doesn’t pay homage to these obscure figures. But since we know so little about the game, this judgment is a bit premature.

If the judgement is accurate, what are its merits? In other words, why does it matter whether the game has “kick-ass” women or not? Golding’s article doesn’t explain what these characters add to Westerns; he just says there is a tradition of kick-ass women in Western films, which the game borrows from. Couldn’t a Western have “kick-ass” women and be awful, despite (or because of) the presence of these characters?

UNRIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION

Those of us who devote lasting attention to the antics of SJWs cannot fail to discern a 'core pattern' to their behaviour, which runs as follows:

1. Pick a target, usually an isolated individual, and take loud and public issue over some trivial word, deed, or object that has supposedly "caused offense" (recent examples: a hula doll, a joke name, and a few lines in an email regarding Halloween costumes).
2. As quickly as possible or after encountering any resistance, erupt into a state of violent anger and escalate the dispute with hysterical ravings, profanity, personal insults, aggressive body language etc.
3. Demand some outward show of compliance, again seemingly trivial, such as an apology or a retreat from a minor position, implying that this will put an end to the aggressive and hysterical outburst (in fact, it usually serves as a justification for escalating things even further).

THE WESTERN CULTURAL REVOLUTION

In certain traditional cultures, it was believed that invoking the name of a god or demon could serve as a means of gaining power over it. Perhaps something like this also applies in metapolitics.

Consider, for example, the power that the Left has gained by using the name “fascism” against its enemies, in spite of the fact that this name was tenuous enough as a description of the wartime Axis powers and is used even more inaccurately now. Typically, when the name “fascism” is invoked upon a political group, something close to the results of a black spell are produced: the public is induced to see violence and defeat in the targeted group, and within the group itself, some are induced to disown their comrades in acts of “self-purification” while others are mesmerised into embracing the name as a suicide embraces the noose.

MARGINSTREAMING

The concept of a Right-Left spectrum of political ideas contains a measure of truth, but is all too easily spun into a justification of established power. As most people are naturally inclined to reject extremes for compromises, they are led to think of those in power as a “Goldilocks option” between those on the far ends of the spectrum, whose exclusion is rationalised as a consequence of their own extremism. 

Since our European Goldilocks presently finds herself gagged and shackled to her chair, poisoned by her ideological gruel, and assaulted by foreigners in her bed, we can surmise that it is these so-called “moderates” who are the true extremists. To make sense of this, we must move away from the judgementalism of the “political spectrum” towards a concept based purely on the facts of hegemony and marginalisation, namely that of the centre and the periphery.

THE RADICALLY HONEST RIGHT

The main weakness of modern self-help books, as opposed to those written in antiquity by the likes of Seneca and Marcus Aurelius, is that they begin not from truth but from the desires and aspirations of the multitude. Far from a teacher pointing the way toward virtue, the modern “self-help guru” is reduced to a servant, cannibalising certain philosophical techniques in order to help people achieve money, “success”, and heightened endorphin production more effectively. But there is at least one modern self-help book that in its essential content harks back to the older tradition, and that book is Radical Honesty, written by a Texan psychotherapist named Brad Blanton who describes himself as “white trash with a Ph.D.”. 

The self-help method of Radical Honesty and its sequel Practicing Radical Honesty is  simple: tell the truth, about everything, all the time, without lying or withholding anything. It is important to emphasise that Blanton does not advocate this commitment to honesty out of a moral opposition to lying. Rather, working back to traditional virtues through modern utilitarianism, he sees radical honesty as the only truly effective therapeutic path to health and happiness.

I recently posted a solo podcast called “AltRight Navel Gazing,” in which I expressed mild consternation and genial reproof over the proclivity of many alt-righters to bask in the newfound notoriety of the movement, as it continues to garner a degree of attention from the mainstream. (“Hey, look, guys, we’re being NOTICED!!! Ohboy ohboy ohboy, tomorrow really does belong to us…,” etc.)

This unseemly tendency to indulge in the promiscuous taking of online ideological-selfies has only been accentuated by the tribal triumphalism engaged in by many in the alt-right ranks surrounding the singularity of the Trump campaign. Though Trump-skeptical myself, I nevertheless understand and share in the general enjoyment that the totalitarian-oriented smelly little orthodoxies of our age are being heartily challenged, even if the man leading the charge is in all likelihood a egocentric opportunist (i.e., a politician).

Donald Trump has long been interested in running for President. In 2000 he sought the nomination of the Reform Party, and he also floated the idea of running as a Republican in 2004 and 2012. In all these cases, nothing ultimately happened, but last month, when he announced his intention to run and made some off-the-cuff remarks about illegal immigrants, support for his campaign caught on like wildfire.

Political analysis can point to a lot of factors. As Greg Johnson indicated on a recent Daily Shoah podcast, the real “sweet spot” in American politics is a combination of social conservatism and economic populism. This is the combination that would please the greatest number of voters and could ensure a permanent super majority.

But who are these internet racists? For the most part, like marginalized minority groups, they are muted in the mainstream media. We hear about them, and see that their comments have been deleted from blogs and newspapers, but few people ask them why they do what they do and why. To rectify this, I headed over to the notorious/infamous Reddit hive of racism /r/CoonTown and asked the moderators (or “mods”) there for a few words, which they were generous to oblige.

Slate ran a series a few years back, 'Liberal Creationism,' after the brouhaha over James Watson's remark that Afros were less intelligent than other groups. In this prescient piece, the author warns that many of the old 'racialist' tropes are likely to soon be proved true, and that the average progressive should mentally steel himself for it:

If this suggestion makes you angry—if you find the idea of genetic racial advantages outrageous, socially corrosive, and unthinkable—you're not the first to feel that way. Many Christians are going through a similar struggle over evolution. Their faith in human dignity rests on a literal belief in Genesis. To them, evolution isn't just another fact; it's a threat to their whole value system.

The same values—equality, hope, and brotherhood—are under scientific threat today. But this time, the threat is racial genetics, and the people struggling with it are liberals. ... You can try to reconcile evidence of racial differences with a more sophisticated understanding of equality and opportunity. Or you can fight the evidence and hope it doesn't break your faith.

The proof is at this point hard to ignore, even if thought leaders are doing their level best to conceal it. As blogger JayMan asks from atop his mountain of scientific data, How much hard evidence do you need? It is likely that in the next several years some lab finding will 'clinch' the question once and for all, pushing HBD into the mainstream as it has germ theory or heliocentrism.

Jean Valjean: drowning in Liberal tears?

You’ll have heard by now of “dindus” and the “gentle giant” who wishes to “turn his life around.” Although now almost always Black, the origin of this archetypal object of liberal leftist sympathies was the character of Jean Valjean in Victor Hugo’s famous novel, Les Misérables, which has also been made into one of the longest-running musicals of all time as well as a movie or two.

Valjean is described as a stout, hardy man of great muscular strength, whom we are made to feel has been unjustly imprisoned for merely stealing a loaf of bread and then only because he was starving. Our hearts are supposed to bleed for him and then burn with a sense of outrage at the terrible injustices of the world.

But, just how true is any of this?

SOCIAL MEDIA: FREAKSHOW FOR THE ANTISOCIAL

The internet has revolutionized the media of the West, and – because "the medium is the message" – it has also radically skewed our culture in new and unexpected directions. Before its advent the media was much more centralized. As a result, it tended to favour a corporatist approach along with small ‘c’ conservative values.

But now things have changed. Social media has become the driving engine of the "new media" and a major determinant of the news and opinion agenda. Those sites and publications that have adjusted themselves to this new clickbait reality are burgeoning. The rest are withering.

But has anyone besides Facebook (!) stopped to think about this in a systemic way? The old, centralized media naturally favoured the message of its paymasters and tended to project their values, but how about the new decentralized media with its powerful social media component? How does that work?

THE TRUE GLOBAL MINORITY

Our liberal leaning mainstream media never hesitates to inform us that whites are slowly but surely becoming minorities within Western countries. Most of the time such trends are reported in a mildly enthusiastic manner, with naysayers depicted as paranoid and alarmist racists. I guess according to leftist logic, objecting to your group’s eventual extinction renders you a horrible extremist.

However, another refrain that I’ve heard from many online leftists on blogs and elsewhere is that whites are already a global minority. Therefore, recent demographic changes are only natural. When reading through Studs Terkel’s book Race, one black woman that he interviewed emphatically rejected the term “minority” in favor of “people of color,” arguing that non-whites like her are the global majority.

Putting aside the foolish notion of a united “people of color” coalition and the fact that all groups are global minorities (as once pointed out by Jared Taylor), I’ll accept the argument that whites are a global minority at face value. After all, one cannot technically dispute such a claim. However, in the spirit of my post on the left and collective responsibility, I’m going to play the fun game of taking leftist logic and applying it to other groups. In this case, the intended target of my game are leftists themselves.
