99 years ago today the most important event of the 20th century took place, the launch of the last great German offensive in World War One. WWII was merely a post-script to what happened on that day. 

By early 1918, the Germans were in a tight spot. Although Russia had been knocked out of the War by the Bolshevik Revolution and the agreement of Brest-Litovsk, which had ceded enormous territories, the Germans and their Allies were suffering the effects of the prolonged British naval blockade and deep discontent on the home front, with war weariness and strikes breaking out. Also, they were facing the prospect of millions of fresh American troops arriving in the months ahead.

Reading Martin Gilbert’s Churchill and the Jews: A Lifelong Friendship brought to mind that infamous article which Winston Churchill wrote in 1920, for a popular British Sunday newspaper, the Illustrated Sunday Herald, entitled "Zionism versus Bolshevism: A Struggle for the Soul of the Jewish People." Gilbert devotes a small chapter to the essay, provoking me to write my objections to Churchill's very biased argumentation in favour of Zionism.

I’m not much of a number cruncher; life is too short. Also, most of the things that detailed statistical analysis can 'reveal' are as clear as the nose on your face. But that doesn't stop overfunded think-tanks like the Heritage Foundation trying to drum up numbers to back up self-evident truths, in this case the negative effects of continuing mass immigration.

It is obvious that if America opts for "amnesty" – a nice-sounding word for open borders – that the country will be trapped in a "dysgenic cycle" of ever lower IQs, higher and higher fertility, and greater and greater welfare.

2030: WHEN WWII FINALLY ENDS
