The recent debate between Vox Day and Andrew Anglin (now deleted by those anti-free-speech bigots YouTube) was an odd sort of mismatch. I don’t mean that in the sense that one of the parties was far superior to the other. In fact there was a rough equality — while Vox was clearly smarter and better educated, Anglin had more cunning. No, the mismatch I am referring to was that between two creatures that inhabit different realms and can’t really get to grips with each other in any meaningful way. On social media, I likened it to a battle between a gadfly and a tadpole.

As the Alt Right attempts to find its balance after the election of Donald Trump threw it into “and now what’s next?” mode, it is clear that the most entertaining sites — The Daily Stormer and The Right Stuff — command a huge amount of traffic. This has caused an impulse among many Alt Right sites to imitate this classic formula.

However, this runs into what we may call “the Stormfront Effect,” which is what happens when a relatively small but very active group online seems to represent more of public opinion than it actually does, at least until people realize that this group consists of people who are mostly minor participants in our society. Then, people stop giving it credence.

When it comes to banning people and groups, and shutting down points of view, precedents are important, and so is moral justification. Powerful as the anarcho-tyrannic state governments and corporate social media companies of the West are, they realize that to overuse their power is to lose their power, and so, when they clamp down, they like to grease the wheels with a little moral unguent and emotional manipulation.

I am still not certain about the exact nature of Andrew Anglin and The Daily Stormer, a site that seems to have a rather inflated opinion of itself. But my best guess at the moment is that it is a psy-ops operation, set up by, and serving, Jewish interests. Some of you may also have your doubts about the site, others not, but, as someone who has been in the Alt-Right from the start and has written for all its main outlets – Radix, Occidental Observer, Counter-Currents, TRS, and American Renaissance – and has a knowledge of attempts to stifle nationalism in other countries, you may wish to humour me in my suspicions, and see how I arrived at them. It should at least make for some interesting reading.

Because I believe with a fair degree of certainty that the Stormer is inspired by a certain radical Jewish agenda, I will henceforth refer to it, its associates, and its derivatives with echo brackets ((())), so that certain patterns will be lucidly clear. 

Well, let's begin at the beginning...

The good thing about a lot of our problems is that they are intractable or at least can’t be reduced to simplistic formula or solutions. For example, would "nationalism for everyone" (© The Alt-Lite, 2016) even work when some groups are still struggling with the tribal stage? I think not – and then what do you do when all those areas revert back to rainforests/savannah and the Chinese move in?

The paradoxical nature of many of the vast issues that the Alt-Right concerns itself with – the destiny of man, the spiritual vacuum of modernity, the nature of morality – is also the reason that normie politics sticks to the relatively unchallenging minutiae of tax codes, welfare benefits, and drone strikes.

This is going to be a serious article about The Daily Stormer and much more important related issues. No, really! It is. Of course, any article about what is in fact just a troll site is going to have to struggle to be serious, but I have steeled my heart and girded my loins for that struggle.

First off, let’s deal with my previous article, as it managed to trick most people. It was—in case you hadn't realized—a deferential tribute to the actual style of The Daily Stormer. Imagine my surprise and trollish joy when not only the low-tier supporters of the Stormer, the famous troll army, but the Anglins and the chief Anglin himself reacted with the same kind of buttchappery that they try to inflict on their own targets.

Roosh is a clever entrepreneur who has mastered the art of converting contemporary male angst and sexual frustration into sheckels with a flashy advertisement-laden click-bait website, Return of Kings. Much of what’s on the site is inflammatory and indefensible, and I’m not endorsing pick-up artistry or the denigration of women. In hindsight, though, even the offensive material kind of makes sense, as a man with a vision must necessarily construct himself a platform upon which to manifest his vision. Like it or not, Return of Kings is Roosh’s soapbox, and it’s a sturdy soapbox. He has a large audience, a solid pool of popular writers, and an ever-expanding monetization framework to help guarantee that he remains independent.

Readers of this site will remember the "big internet war" that Alternative Right (and our allies Counter-Currents) had with the Daily Stormer over its criticism of RamZPaul and its support for the write-in candidate for the Kentucky Senate race, Robert "with Jews we lose" Ransdell. 

You may also remember my point: that ghettoizing White nationalism by associating it with everything "lampshady" – whether imagery or real – was a pointless, no-win strategy and one designed by its supporters, such as Andrew Anglin, to keep healthy White nationalism confined to a diseased and rat-infested ghetto, where it would continue to wither and die; unlike Europe where it is thriving.

In defense the way to win is to get your enemies to attack you at your strongest point. In offense the way to win is to attack your enemies at their weakest point.

Now, just supposing you were a White-hating, globalist shill – or a slap-headed moron who just acted like a White-hating, globalist shill – and wanted to sidetrack nationalism for as long as possible, then you would want to trick nationalists into attacking by the most bloody, dangerous, and fruitless route possible, the one where their efforts would reap the lowest possible return, and which would lead to their destruction.

In fact, you might even set up something like The Daily Stormer, a populist mix of 4chan Nazi porn, monster truck machismo, and juvenile racist trolling that serves to repel normal people from nationalism, while ghettoizing existing nationalists ever further from the mainstream.

A Brief History of Political Marginalization

Andrew Anglin of The Daily Stormer has honoured me with a lengthy and detailed reply to my article about his article about RamZPaul’s vlog on Robert Ransdell’s quixotic senate campaign. This is all well and as it should be: people who purportedly care about the future of the White race and nationalism airing their differences in public and having what is known as a healthy debate.

But it is revealing that the image chosen to accompany this reply is a publicity shot of Russell Crowe in Romper Stomper, perhaps the most famous on-screen example of a self-destructive White Nationalism, living in the past and associating itself with the reviled symbolism of the Third Reich.

While The Daily Stormer has a certain populist appeal within the ghetto of hard-line White Nationalists, which can be likened to the initial popularity of Russell Crowe’s character amongst his gang mates in that movie, Anglin’s professed purpose of mass conversion and moving the Overton window seems a clear pipe dream. Now why is that?

ANDREW ANGLIN'S INVERTED GHETTO

That comic opera political website The Daily Stormer has just launched another of its trademark frothing-at-the-mouth attacks, this time on noted nationalist vlogger RamZPaul.

The reason? Because Paul had called attention to the senate campaign of Robert Ransdell in Kentucky, a candidate who strikes macho poses and makes emotive speeches reminiscent of old newsreels of Hitler, with constant references to “Black savages” and “the Jews.” The two positions in this case, that of RamZPaul and Andrew Anglin of The Daily Stormer, are of course well known to those of us on the alternative right.
