We have known for some time that Big Tech is going down, and that like the last two crashes, it will take down the economy with it.

The first dot-com crash came right after the 1990s ended when people figured out that all this gee-whiz stuff did not actually sell products. The next kaboom came just after mobile internet came about, and was somewhat obscured by the larger financial crisis that it exacerbated. The next crash will rip out even more of our economy.

Since society broke down some time ago and the family collapsed with it, most of us inherit none of the wisdom of fathers and grandmothers that used to form the basis of the “social capital” passed on to children in a functioning society. Conventional wisdom a century ago held out something we might call The Inversion Rule, which states that whatever people have to tell you about themselves is probably false and whatever they do not have to tell you—i.e. that is evident—is likely true.

Carole Dabak doesn’t like San Francisco anymore. She used to like it. It used to be fun. It used to be cutting-edge. It used to be progressive. Now, one out of three is apparently bad.

"I loved it here when I first got here. I really loved it here. But it’s just not the same," Dabak said.

She’s right. It isn’t the same. She’s gotten exactly what she helped vote into office. Many complain that they can’t afford it.

The Alt Right has outlived every prediction by a credible source and continues to gain momentum. Essentially an updated European New Right that incorporates social conservatism and rejects the reliance on socialist-style government, the Alt Right forms a cultural wave that has successfully upended politics in the late stages of liberal democracy.

However, right now the Alt Right suffers for its success, because in becoming a voice with authority, it has attracted a wide range of people to that voice, including the type of angry losers who were in actual hate groups back in the day and the type of resentful and pointless internet fedora-toffing, neckbeard, basement dwelling NEETs that we all know from Reddit, which apparently infiltrated 4chan some time ago and took over large portions of it.

Leftism causes consumerism because when you subsidize the least capable, you get buying patterns that emphasize the trivial, disposable, novelty, and lowest common denominator types of products. For years the West has kept itself afloat by taxing the middle class so that the perma-poor can buy iPhones, increasing the value of that Apple stock, and thus making the middle class get more rich.

Next time you encounter a so-called “conservative,” you might ask them what goal conservatives aim to achieve. You will usually either get an answer about traditional values, or a short discourse on the Constitution (if in Europe, they will talk about social benefits instead).

Very few of them will point out that the word “conservative” comes from the Latin word for “to preserve,” and that this means they are preserving something. If you bring this up, they will probably answer something about the founding of the nation, or maybe a favorite decade like the 1980s or 1950s. Anything farther back is a mystery, except the founding, which since no one remembers it, is handy like a movie screen for projecting upon.

As the Alt Right attempts to find its balance after the election of Donald Trump threw it into “and now what’s next?” mode, it is clear that the most entertaining sites — The Daily Stormer and The Right Stuff — command a huge amount of traffic. This has caused an impulse among many Alt Right sites to imitate this classic formula.

However, this runs into what we may call “the Stormfront Effect,” which is what happens when a relatively small but very active group online seems to represent more of public opinion than it actually does, at least until people realize that this group consists of people who are mostly minor participants in our society. Then, people stop giving it credence.

BETWEEN A CUCK AND A SPERG PLACE

The Alt Right is struggling to define itself. This is natural and healthy for a movement that got a sudden jolt when mentioned by a presidential candidate. But instead of clinging to loyalties as if they were football teams, it might make sense to look into what the Alt Right has been.

One key is found in the word “alternative.” As mentioned by those who influenced its inception and those who guided the way, the Alt Right was designed to be an alternative to both the cuckservative mainstream Right, which is more Left than anything else, and the angry malevolence of the white nationalist underground.

Some clever person did a bunch of research and looked into Richard Spencer’s background, but also made the accusation that Richard Spencer has Jewish ancestors:

Sherry Spencer’s father, being Richard Spencer’s grandfather on his mom’s side, is Richard Dickenhorst (1923-2002). And his mother, being Richard Spencer’s great-grandmother, was Birdie M E Eckstein (1893-1972) – Jewish! Her father, being Richard Spencer’s great-great-grandfather, was August S. Eckstein (1859-1929) – also Jewish!

It is not really reliable to infer from last names alone that Spencer has a Jewish ancestor, especially since no one in his family looks Jewish.
