KIM ENSURES STATUS-BOOSTING TRUMP MEETING BY MEANINGLESS CONCESSIONS

by Trad News

Get used to it. We live in an age of fake new, false flags, and phoney wars.

Just recently, Trump responded to a fake gas attack with what was essentially a fake bombing, Now the next big story is that Kim Jong-Un, the dictatorial leader of North Korea, has stopped testing nuclear missiles and has closed down the research facility that carried out the tests.

NORTH KOREA AS AN EXPRESSION OF CHINESE INTELLIGENT DESIGN

If this did not exist it would have to be created.

by Colin Liddell

The level of analysis of the North Korean situation in America's corridors of power is laughable. Yes, literally.

Trump's recent comment about his button being bigger than Kim Jong-un’s "button" was ROFL tier and highlighted the general absurdity of the situation as it is perceived and projected in America. Then, following this Bond-villain slapstick, we saw the lumbering bulk of Trump and America deftly side-stepped by a mini-thaw in relations between the two Koreas, ironically brought on by the forthcoming Winter Olympics, with China and Russia looking on approvingly.

The real flaw with most of the analysis is simple. It views things purely from the American side of the windscreen, when the fact is the US Empire is no longer on the motorway—as it seems to think it is—but is in fact entering the metal scrapping yard, headed for the crusher. The real story here is that America is the object, not the subject, in the situation, and in ways that its ruling elites are clearly oblivious of.

So, who is really in the driving seat here?

HEAVEN FORBID PEACE SHOULD BREAK OUT BETWEEN THE U.S. AND NORTH KOREA!

As long as the US Empire can be funded and maintained on the backs of its taxpaying public, the chance of a de-escalation of tensions not only on the Korean peninsula, but throughout the world are practically nil. And, as long as the nation’s current interventionist ideology holds sway, it will only be through a financial meltdown that the US’s role as global policeman will come to a much-needed end. The most recent example of the world’s biggest bully escalating matters is its on-again, off-again badgering of North Korea.

TRUMP'S UN SPEECH REVEALS US SUBSERVIENCE TO ISRAEL AND SAUDI ARABIA

Trump's big UN speech was many things to many men, but there was no mistaking the key note: America's foreign policy is not its own.

The way to deal with a Donald Trump speech these days is to direct a sandblaster at it for a couple of minutes to blow off all the platitudes, bullshit, button pushing, and sub-Churchilian rhetoric, and then stand back from the dust to see what is left.

Sometimes nothing is left.

KOREAN MISSILES AND THE MESSY MIDDLE

Audio version available here.

James Burnham, in his 1941 classic The Managerial Revolution identified the managerial class and the managerial system as the new, ascendant form of power. This system, which still dominates the present-day power structure, has some troubling aspects that help to explain the growing dysfunction and decline of our society. I want to draw attention to two in particular.

First, because power is based on control rather than on ownership, there is a constant need to justify it through appeals to the emotions of the masses. Rather than being defined by the interests of the masses, democracy is defined by what can be sold to the masses, which is definitely not the same thing. Secondly, the need to demonstrate competence outweighs the need to have actual competence.

The great irony is that these two characteristics are produced by a system dedicated to efficient control and getting results, but in effect they work against efficiency and results. An interesting example is provided by the problem presented by North Korea, a so-called "rogue" nation that is rapidly developing its rocket and nuclear weapon technology.

NO FOLLOW UP STRIKES AGAINST ASSAD: NORTH KOREA MAIN FOCUS FOR TRUMP

Korearing to war?

It's been a week now since Trump launched 59 cruise missiles against a Syrian air base in supposed retaliation for an alleged and unproven chemical attack on a town well behind the front line.

So, what exactly is going on?

It seems, at present, that this was a one-off strike and that Trump is in fact continuing the status quo that existed before the attack, whereby Russia supported the Assad government in fighting against Islamist rebels, while the US supported the SDF in its efforts against ISIS.

PYONGYANG PUNK'D: LAIBACH TAKES THE DPRK

Laibach pose solemnly in the "hermit kingdom" of North Korea.

In a weirdly historic turn of events, the Slovenian art-noise-industrial-Gestapo-Stasi rock band Laibach is playing Pyongyang, North Korea this week. Their show, we are told, is based heavily upon the band's reinterpretation of various songs from Rodgers and Hammerstein's  "The Sound of Music." (!)

SOUL HACKERS

With the closing of another year marked by media hysteria, the narrative that the crazed hermit North Korean regime orchestrated the hacking of the Japanese-owned Hollywood company Sony, thereby assaulting our precious freedom to crank out cultural subversion, has quickly begun to fall apart. From the beginning the story never held neither consistency nor any forensic evidence. Yet the notion that ruthless Korean dictator Kim Jong Un wants to keep them from the movies, the modern substitute for the West’s emptying churches, has sent cable news consumers into a panic.

GEOPOLITICAL TENTACLE PORN

The Korean Crisis may blow over or it may not. But even if it does you can be sure that it’ll blow up again sometime in the future. The Kim Jong-whoever show is set to run and run, and not just for the entertainment of fans of James Bond, Thunderbirds, and Fu Man Chu. Underneath the absurdity of the fat kid with the bad haircut waving nuclear missiles about and demanding to be loved, there is a mother lode of realpolitik of the kind that would make the most ruthless American Neocons look like Mother Teresa.

Why is this happening there and now and not someplace or sometime else?

Tectonic plates give a clue. They also have to rub up against and subduct one another somewhere sometime, and in a sense this is what is going on. The Korean peninsula lies right on the geopolitical ley lines, and although all the attention is on Kim 3, this is only because the Chinese want it that way. The Korean crisis is just a tentacle of a much bigger beast, something to get us all excited while the other seven tentacles go about their nefarious tasks elsewhere.
