THE END OF THE ALT-RIGHT: COLIN LIDDELL INTERVIEWED BY QUEBEC NATIONALIST MAGAZINE "HARFANG"

Liddell who has always been right about everything.
This is the English version of an interview with Affirmative Right chief editor Colin Liddell that took place in April and was recently published in the Quebec nationalist magazine Harfang. Due to the questions asked much of  the discussion centers on the rise and fall of the Alt-Right.

AWAKE: AN INTRODUCTION TO NEW NATIONALISM

The following is an interview with Joseph King, author of a new book Awake: An Introduction to New Nationalism, now available for purchase.

*************

You’re from New York City – how does someone living in one of the most left wing areas in the country end up red-pilled?

JK: Actually, I’ve always found it odd that people from big multi-ethnic cities are so left-wing.  When you live in a big city like New York, you see very clearly that virtually all the violent and dangerous people around you are either Black or Brown. Virtually all the homeless people or people who work menial jobs are also Black or Brown.  When things are this obvious you can’t help but wonder if there’s something biologically different about darker races. When you do a little bit more digging the truth becomes clearer, and you have to wonder how anyone can think otherwise.

ALAIN DE BENOIST ON THE FRENCH ELECTION

French New Right thinker and "intellectual godfather of the Alt-Right," Alain de Benoist recently gave an interview to the Breton nationalist website Breizh-info.com. He was asked him his reactions to the first round of the French Presidential election, which saw the field narrowed down to civic nationalist Marine Le Pen and the "candidate of the broken system" Emmanuel Macron. The translation was done using online translation with common sense correction.

PUTIN VS. THE NATIONALISTS

An Interview with Russian nationalist Dimitriy Savvin

Dimitry Savvin is a Russian nationalist, who has gone exile due to his pro-Ukrainian activities. The formal reason for his persecution might seem surprising for a part of Western nationalists – his active position against mass immigration ("fueling of national hatred") was a pretext for opening a criminal case against him.

REDDIT "ASK ME ANYTHING" INTERVIEW WITH COLIN LIDDELL

On November 11th, Alternative Right's Chief Editor Colin Liddell fielded an "Ask Me Anything" on Reddit. Here are the questions and answers.
A still from one of Liddell's recent "Omega Man" inspired videos

Fratrick_Swayze:
What event or series of events red-pilled you into the Alternative Right?

Colin Liddell: Being born. Prior to that I was living in a wonderful Socialistic welfare state called the Womb. Then I met my brothers...More seriously I grew up (ages 5 to 11) in South Africa, then a relatively traditionalist White dominated state (no TV or porn), then came back to a Leftist dominated Britain with its various social problems. That gave me a strong rightist slant, but politically I had to wait for the rise of the BNP in the early zeroes to start seeing things in a way beyond my immediate situation.

"MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE" REVISITED – AN INTERVIEW WITH ALEX KURTAGIC

During our "unscheduled reorganization" back in December 2013, many of the old Alternative Right articles were archived to Radix Journal, but almost all the articles from 2013 were lost, including this interview with Alex Kurtagic by George Whale, which we now take great pleasure in restoring to our readers. (C.Liddell)

A full transcript can be found at the bottom of the page

At a conference in Washington DC in September 2011 writer, musician and artist Alex Kurtagic delivered a lecture entitled "Masters of the Universe," in which he argued that we must win the cultural war against the Left as a necessary prelude to real political change. The speech, full of original and provocative ideas, fascinated me and I determined to ask Mr Kurtagic for an interview so that I might explore some of his ideas further. Fortunately, he agreed.

ANDY NOWICKI INTERVIEWED ON "ESOTERIC HOLLYWOOD"

Andy was recently interviewed by Jay Dyer at the latter's weird, wild, challenging and altogether intriguing "Esoteric Hollywood" site. The two discussed Andy's new book Conspiracy, Compliance, Control, and Defiance,  now available on Amazon.com.

DOING THE RIGHT THING: AN INTERVIEW WITH COLIN LIDDELL

In the Summer of 2014, Colin Liddell, Chief Editor of Alternative Right was interviewed by Manticore Press, who produce the excellent journal Aristokratia. The interview covered a variety of topics, including the Alt Right, paganism, the essence of aristocracy, and much else.

**************

Manticore: You have had a prolific and long writing career encompassing many different projects. When did you start writing, and what are some of the topics you have worked on over the years?

Liddell: I started writing as a teenager, when I was drawn to poetry, as many are. I liked the intensity of the medium and also the fact that it was economical with paper. I have also done a few short stories and have even attempted longer forms, but I have had no interest in the marketing side, so I let that wither and die; although I keep thinking, if Andy Nowicki can do it, so can I. Yes, he’s a real inspiration!

My first properly published material was for Riff Raff, a London-based rock magazine that existed from 1989 to around 1995, which was founded by Mark Crampton, initially a friend of my brother. My first piece for them was a live review of the Rolling Stones. Since then I have branched out to cover almost anything – economics, politics, art, philosophy, speculative science, you name it. Over the years I have been quoted by a number of eminent people, from Jack Donovan to Bono.

WHAT MOTIVATES INTERNET RACISTS?

An Interview with the Mods of Reddit's Notorious /r/CoonTown

Democracy makes life feel like sitting in a movie theater: we, the audience, see others on stage and must then raise a thumb or lower it as if we were Roman imperators at the the gladiator stage. One of the actors, our media, simplifies and streamlines news into a series of simple categories, portrayed as caricatures. Among their favorites, the “racist” — especially on the internet — plays best.

But who are these internet racists? For the most part, like marginalized minority groups, they are muted in the mainstream media. We hear about them, and see that their comments have been deleted from blogs and newspapers, but few people ask them why they do what they do and why. To rectify this, I headed over to the notorious/infamous Reddit hive of racism /r/CoonTown and asked the moderators (or “mods”) there for a few words, which they were generous to oblige.

REAL RUSSIA VS. THE KREMLIN STATE: INTERVIEW WITH OLENA SEMENYAKA

In the war currently underway in Eastern Ukraine, between Ukrainian nationalists and Russian separatists, the latter are winning one of the most important battles, the battle of information.

Since the beginning of the conflict, the separatists have used the internet extensively to gather support from all around the world and to present their side of the story. However, the Ukrainian nationalists have seldom been heard, and their motives are often presented through the deforming lenses of Western or pro-Russian media. To correct this distortion, here is a long overdue presentation of the Ukrainians’ position.

In an uncensored and unfiltered interview, Olena Semenyaka, the coordinator of the Azov Reconquista project and a member of the Press Service of the Azov Regiment, gives us an overview of how things look from a Ukrainian nationalist perspective. The Azov Regiment is an international regiment recognized by the Ukrainian government that has been active since April 2014.

AN INTERVIEW WITH ALEXANDER DUGIN: AGAINST UNIVERSALISM

Would you buy a tapestry from this man?

My recent articles have been critical of Eurasianism, and have raised a few questions. Alexander Dugin, the author of the two books referred to in my articles, has kindly offered to answer them.

Rémi Tremblay: In the West, Eurasianism seems to seek to ally itself with nationalists. However, in Russia nationalist groups like the ones that support Russia in the West were crushed and repressed. What can Western nationalists learn from that repression?

Alexander Dugin: Eurasianism works with different groups who are against liberalism, North American hegemony and Modernity as a whole. These groups can be right or left. It is most important to be against liberalism and Atlanticism. But Eurasianism is not nationalistic—it is a Fourth Political Theory, ideologically similar to the European New Right of Alain de Benoist.

IN THE HOUSE OF POUND: AN INTERVIEW WITH GIANLUCA IANNONE

Following on the heels of Rémi Tremblay's excellent article on CasaPound's movement-building methods, here is Colin Liddell's interview with the group's leader, Gianluca Iannone, from early 2011. This was previously published at Alternative Right in 2012.

Liddell: CasaPound is still not so well known in the English-speaking countries, even by those active in right wing politics. Could you introduce your movement to our readers and describe it? How big is CasaPound? How many members and how much support do you have?

THE HOMO AND THE NEGRO: AN INTERVIEW WITH JAMES O'MEARA

The Homo and the Negro, a provocatively-titled collection of essays recently published by Counter-Currents, reveals one of the more interestingly idiosyncratic, and thus far largely unsung, writers of the far right.

James J. O’Meara has called his own writing style “psychedelic,” and while I don’t know if this is meant to imply the actual influence of LSD in this Detroit-born, Canadian-educated baby boomer’s life, one can indeed sense quite a bit more of a Phillip K. Dick-vibe in his work than anything Evolian or Spenglerian. But maybe that’s just a roundabout way of saying that, while O’Meara has a profound interest in matters of intellectual substance, his writing is at the same time entertaining to read, and not in any way stuffy or stultifyingly academic-sounding.

SEA CHANGES: AN INTERVIEW WITH DEREK TURNER

by Andy Nowicki

The fact that Derek Turner’s magisterial Sea Changes is a deeply “relevant” novel ought not to fool the potential reader into thinking that it has the typical earmarks of a “timely” read. Though its multifaceted, intricately-weaved storyline perfectly embodies the “ripped from today’s headlines” cliché, Sea Changes also has the feel of a timeless work, written less for the day and more for the ages.

Indeed, though Turner is writing about events and phenomena that many find enraging—politically-correct British ethno-masochism, mass Third World immigration and the concomitant mounting threat of white extinction in England—Sea Changes is notable for not reading as an angry or incendiary novel. Those expecting a crudely cartoonish anti-anti-racism screed a la The Turner Diaries are sure to be disappointed. Though Turner clearly means to skewer and savage the anti-“racist” (read: anti-white) cant-driven dogmas and smelly little orthodoxies that saturate our era, he does so in a most elegant and compassionate manner, with malice towards none except the unforgivably disingenuous.

"EVERYTHING IN THE WOMB, NOTHING OUTSIDE OF THE WOMB, AND NOTHING AGAINST THE WOMB"

An interview with Jack Donovan for the Finnish magazine Sarastus

by Timo Hännikäinen

In "The Way of Men" you say that the only way to reclaim masculinity and return to honor and manly virtue is to start a gang. And in your essay "Anarcho-fascism" you say that only new warrior-gangs can rise effectively against "the corrupt, feminist, anti-tribal, degraded institutions of the established order." Are you aware that this solution may be far too extreme to most men? Especially men with families tend to value organized society higher than tribalism. In some African civil wars (in Liberia in 1990′s for example) armed male gangs have replaced the rule of government and law, but life there is really nasty, brutish and short. Do you think that there is any other way to revolt against the modern world than anarchic gang warfare?

Donovan: There are no moderate solutions to the problems presented by global capitalism, multiculturalism and feminism. Pan-secession into tribal groups within a failing state is the only alternative I see within most nations.

Half-measures and "sensible" solutions merely slow the progression of these phenomena as international corporations and wealthy individuals consolidate power and control.

"UNITED BY HATRED": AN INTERVIEW WITH ALEXANDR DUGIN

Ukraine: caught between land power and sea power.

by Manuel Ochsenreiter

Prof. Dugin, the Western mainstream media and established politicians describe the recent situation in Ukraine as a conflict between pro-European, democratic and liberal oppositional alliance on the one side and an authoritarian regime with a dictator as president on the other side. Do you agree?

Dugin: I know those stories and I consider this type of analysis totally wrong. We cannot divide the world today in the Cold War style. There is no "democratic world" which stands against an "antidemocratic world," as many Western media report.

EUROPA NOSTRA!

An interview with Génération Identitaire's Julien Langella

by Dimitrios Papageorgiou

Originally published at Alternative Right on 8th December, 2012

Génération Identitaire, recently gained worldwide attention, with their "Declaration of War" video, and their occupation of a mosque at the historically important location of Poitiers. They are an organization filled with youthful energy in a state that has accepted multiculturalism and embraced its doctrines. I conducted an interview with Julien Langella, one of the leadership cadre of Génération Identitaire, an interview that serves as an introduction to the very interesting views of young French people fighting for their right to live as a homogeneous community in their country.

"OCCUPATION IS OCCUPATION!": AN INTERVIEW WITH ALEXANDR DUGIN

Prof. Dugin, the NSA spying scandal caused a deep impact on German-American relations. We Germans have been told for decades that Washington is our "friend" and "partner". Now many Germans have come to realize that the US has been behaving more or less like an occupation force. Why did it take so long to realize that?

INTERVIEW WITH A POETESS (PART 2)

The following is the conclusion of my interview with Juleigh Howard-Hobson, whose book I Do Not Belong to the Baader-meinhof Group and Other Poems is now available from Counter-Currents.com
Part 1 can be read here.

Nowicki: "Or Forever Hold No Peace" is a stirring poem about WW2 veterans, apparently from both the Axis and the Allied side of the war. The poem seems to reflect on a "bright time when/ Hope stood gladly with you, Europa's men." Talk about the inspiration and context for this poem, as well as your reference to the "black sun" (which is also referenced in other poems of the collection). “What is history but a fable agreed upon?” said Bonaparte.

Howard-Hobson: “Or Forever Hold No Peace” wanted to be written, it came as an image in my head: old grizzled men standing in a line, waiting for a memorial parade to begin. Which memorial, which parade, which men....those things didn’t matter.... all that mattered, as far as the poem was concerned, was that the men were together and they were old and they knew something and they knew that what they knew was not what they were supposed to know—not the official story, not the sanctioned truth, not, perhaps, even the legal truth anymore...but still, they knew it. The poem comes from the frustration of knowing that these grand old men might take something precious to their graves because they don’t know that their truth won’t only fall on deaf ears. That some of us want to know what they knew. On both sides.

INTERVIEW WITH A POETESS (PART 1)

Juleigh Howard-Hobson, poetess

The following is the first part of my interview with Juleigh Howard-Hobson, whose new book of poems, I Do Not Belong to the Baader-meinhof Group and Other Poems, is now available from Counter-Currents.

Nowicki: As a poet, you have achieved significant success, both inside and outside of "the movement." It is safe to say that many non-alternative rightists/ WNs/ ideological heretics nevertheless enjoy your work. To what extent is your poetry an expression of your beliefs, and to what extent could it be called non-ideological?

Howard-Hobson: Everything any artist does comes from inside the artist and nowhere else. There’s no escaping that. So, it’s absolutely true that everything I write is from inside of me—informed by my beliefs, my ideologies and my own experiences. I’ve lived in 3 nations, and two opposite coasts of one of them—my outlooks, my thoughts, my personal expressions, every word I put down on paper, are all the result of conclusions (some even unconscious ones) that I’ve come to after seeing what I’ve seen of the world, and knowing what I know of people, of culture, of how history is interpreted and even distorted, what the air smells like in London’s suburbs, what ANZAC Day means in Sydney, how to grow spring gardens in the Portland rain, how holiness is experienced....
