A few days ago, on April 25th, Italy celebrated a national holiday, La Liberazione d'Italia. This anniversary marks the end of fascism and the Second World War and the liberation from Nazi occupation. Many Italians of the Left rejoice, while many on the Right see it as a “communist holiday.”

The new television drama series, The Young Pope, created and directed by Paolo Sorrentino, started off strongly. 

For the first two or three episodes I felt that Sorrentino was cementing his reputation as one of the greats, but, alas, less than halfway through, the HBO series lapsed into the formulaic bathos of a common melodrama. It slowly revealed itself incapable of being the traditionalist critique that it seemed to promise at first. This was a far worse failure for me than The Great Beauty (La Grade Bellezza).

Richard Spencer. Love him or hate him, or lukewarm water him? Richard Spencer, say it in a sing-song voice to the melody of "Under Pressure." Say it three times while looking in the mirror in a darkened room and suddenly he appears.

Indeed, Richard Spencer seems to be ubiquitous as of late; a portentous, well-mannered, troll-smiling "whyte supreeeeemacist" whose whack-a-mole publicity tour is making national headlines and whose reverberations reach into the highest offices of the land - Richard Spencer is unavoidable. And it is precisely this notoriety that will propel the Movement forwards.

With the spate of liberal tears caught in the turmoil of their petty tantrums, creating tsunamis of disbelief, disorder, and discontentment, one cannot help but be reminded of Carlyle’s worldview of those world-historical great men: destroying the happiness of peoples while fulfilling the destiny of an age. The whole of the media establishment, the whole of the Western World has been rocked by the Ascension of Trump. The vindication of this Ascendency is that of the lifeless vein pulsing once again with the flowing blood of the risen people.

Nietzsche once wrote that all profound things wear masks, but this Halloween, and others before it, will witness the merely mundane trying not to culturally offend anyone with their choice of costume. Since the exhausting expelling of literal interpretations of monsters from the human mind, the symbolic, functional, and allegorical aspects of such creatures compel interpretation.

CREEPING CARNIVALISM

The following passage, describing the failure of the New Left in the 1960s and 70s, has a lot of relevance for our own movement:

"Ironically, just when the New Left was experiencing an unprecedented wave of support, its leading organization, SDS, which claimed almost a hundred thousand members and a million supporters, was being torn asunder by internal contradictions. Chapter meetings throughout the country degenerated into ideological squabbles as the Progressive Labor party (PL), a disciplined Old Left cadre, made a power play and tried to take over the SDS. The PL people were cultural conservatives; they wore their hair short, dressed straight, mouthed Marxist dogma, and dismissed lifestyle as a peripheral concern that diverted attention from the true working-class struggle. On repeated occasions PL castigated SDS regulars for being ‘escapist’ and ‘objectively counterrevolutionary when they spoke in favor of turning on. (Quite a few SDS members would have agreed with Arthur Kleps when he said, ‘Marxism is the opiate of the unstoned classes.’) PL also criticized propaganda tactics like guerrilla theater and rock bands at rallies as ‘creeping carnivalism,’ and they even claimed that Timothy Leary was a CIA agent who pushed acid on the Movement as part of an imperialist plot." GOOGLE PUSHING THEIR PC AGENDA

Google is at it again pushing their PC inclusive agenda down our throats.

Here's a little game my friend showed me. Go to Google.com type in "American inventors," notice anything unusual? Look at the horizontal row of pictures.

There you have it folk, America is not just the land of contemporary black geniuses like Kayne, Oprah and Colin Kaepernick. It is also the land of historic black inventor and innovator geniuses like George Washington Carver, the guy who brought you peanut butter, and Madam C.J. Walker who put together a company to sell blacks beauty products (Afro Sheen?) Or Garrett Morgan who worked on a chemical for hair-straightening (did he work with Walker?).

Reading Martin Gilbert’s Churchill and the Jews: A Lifelong Friendship brought to mind that infamous article which Winston Churchill wrote in 1920, for a popular British Sunday newspaper, the Illustrated Sunday Herald, entitled "Zionism versus Bolshevism: A Struggle for the Soul of the Jewish People." Gilbert devotes a small chapter to the essay, provoking me to write my objections to Churchill's very biased argumentation in favour of Zionism.

Slavoj Zizek has repeatedly made the seemingly contradictory point that Leftists should adopt "progressive racism" in order to counter racism. This would involve telling racist jokes that would produce "solidarity" by a communal sharing in obscenity. The joke and the laughter would effectively function as an assuaging mechanism to mask the very real and prescient tribal instincts, especially of whites whose countries are being invaded by a waves of foreign competitors.

THE FUTURE BELONGS TO "WE"

Liberalism represents the triumph of the sovereign individual’s freedom based on desire over the community’s order based on duties. A few hundred years of liberal political hegemony in the West (England, France, and the United States primarily) have resulted in a total cultural hegemonic apparatus always affirming its own biases with pretensions of objectivity.

Lionel Mordecai Trilling, in his preface to The Liberal Imagination, wrote that Liberalism is the “sole intellectual tradition” of the United States.

I traveled with three companions, part of a Pan-European nationalist student group to Richard Spencer’s NPI conference by car from Toronto Canada.

I had not visited our Southern Neighbor since I was a little boy and my father would take me to Buffalo to visit his uncle. On this occasion I observed marked differences between the two countries, some of which I was only conceptually aware of; namely the ubiquitous presence of the military in people's lives, something that is so foregrounded in American society as to be institutionalized in a way Canadians cannot understand in our post-bellum, soft, socialist, multiculturalist dystopia. And, yes, Americans are significantly fatter on average. But there was also a marked religious element pervading their worldview, something altogether transcendent and not always rooted in institutions.

I decided to impress the missus the other night by taking her out to the theatre, opting for something "a bit classical" – a modern retelling of Aeschylus’ Oresteia, reworked for a modern Canadian setting by Nicolas Billon, a playwright previously honoured with the Governor General's Award for English-language Drama.

What could possibly go wrong? Quite a lot actually as I hadn’t done my homework.

RAPE CULTURE

This is a stimulating and readable collection of essays that I found myself both agreeing and disagreeing with. In the Germanic tradition of wanderlust, the author Welf Herfurth takes us through a personal account of his political journey, both metaphorical and actual, as Herfurth turns out to be something of a globe hopper.

This is the kind of anthology that is sure to resonate with any European nationalist, while having enough crossover appeal to be pushed in the direction of any fence-sitting or Left-leaning “normie” friend, with Welf acting the role as a personable guide into politically incorrect territory and taboo viewpoints. The book can be viewed as a Right-wing version of Rules for Radicals, where its strengths lie in its pragmatic and practical approach to political activism. It opens with an introduction and a preface respectively by New Right veterans Troy Southgate and Tomislav Sunic.

BAD FAITH: ISLAM, LIBERALISM, AND THE INAUTHENTIC FRENCH STATE

In the wake of the Friday the 13th terrorist attacks in Paris by Jihadist Muslims, the details of which are still emerging, I want to avoid writing another "I told you so" response, swathed in sentimental solidarity with the French victims, or deal with obvious "fall out" talking points, like Mossad's possible involvement, the question of restricting civil liberties or allowing citizens to carry guns, possible military responses in the Middle East, the effect on French Jews considering aliyah (emigration to Israel), the effect on the electoral fortunes of the Front National, and so on.

Instead I want to reflect on what the city means as a symbol, and consider how some very ‘Parisian’ currents of thought have led innocents directly to this slaughterhouse.

This Wednesday, November 4, 2015, Justin Trudeau became Canada’s 23rd Prime Minister, replacing the Cuckservative Stephen Harper, after a landslide electoral victory. The win restored the Liberal Party to its position as the prevailing political force in Canadian politics (they’ve governed Canada for roughly 70 percent of the last century), as the electoral swing towards them was the largest-ever numerical increase in Canadian election history, with the Liberals moving up from third position before the election (36 seats) to a dominating first (184 seats). 

Trudeau, has already been labeled the "prime minister of hugs," known for his omnipresent photogenic smile, which imbues him with a sense of bumpkin-like wonderment, rather than the marks of a piercing intellect – a modern ‘positive’ politician whose boyish goofiness makes it hard to call him ‘Mr. Trudeau’ rather ‘Justin’ – which, in gleeful derision, I shall now commence to do.

Justin no doubt inherited that breezy countenance as the result of a life served with a silver spoon and a political position passed down from father-to-son as name recognition and branding had more to do with this election than charisma or any other merit or policy. "Sunny ways my friends. Sunny ways," Trudeau told his enthusiastic supporters in Montreal. "This is what positive politics can do." What a dunce!
