The US election has now entered its final stage, the battle between Trump and Hillary. Thanks to the insurgent nature of Trump's campaign, we are now in unfamiliar territory. We have never had anything quite like this before. For this reason, it is extremely difficult to say how things will pan out and who will win. Looked at one way, it must be Trump, but, looked at from another angle, suddenly Hillary looks certain to be installed as President by the powerful forces backing—and presumably controlling—her (right now cooked polls are putting her seven points ahead). In short, the overall picture is confusing.

CONTEMPLATING THE ELECTION: SIX CRITERIA TO CLARIFY TRUMP VERSUS HILLARY
SHOCK NEWS: MAN WHO IS MORE LIKABLE LIKED MORE THAN WOMAN WHO IS LESS LIKABLE
Those of us who were right about Trump are starting to become a new species of bore. Since last Summer, I have been confidently telling everyone around me that Trump would beat the rest of the Republican field and then move on to wipe the floor with whoever the Democratic Party threw up – "Horrible" Hillary or "Bonkers" Bernie (all the time being pretty confident that it would be Hillary). Now the latest polls are starting to show this pattern with Trump pulling ahead of Hillary in head-to-heads. Yes, people are starting to get sick of hearing how right I was.
GET TRUMP!
After penning my essay “Trump and the Metapolitics of Winning” on Trump’s phenomenal rise, I thought I’d approach the subject from the opposite side and focus on the forces arrayed against him, in particular the extraordinary anti-Trump media frenzy that has been raging for the last two or three months as Trump’s ultimate victory draws ever nearer.
I must say that I have never in my life seen such a negative campaign waged in the Western media like the one we have just witnessed against Donald Trump. The fact that he is the Republican Front Runner and a candidate well able to give the GOP a 4-to-8-year reign just makes it all the more remarkable!
Not even Saddam Hussein or Osama Bin Laden have had as much bad press as Trump has received in the last few months. It’s been so intense and the Washington elite’s panic has been so palpable that it’s clear that Trump is either the best Presidential candidate since JFK or is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ Himself! The vast cabal organising against him is clear proof that here is an outsider candidate par excellence – not only that but an outsider candidate who can win, unlike Bernie Sanders, who looks set to be outsmarted by establishment hawk Hillary. So, let’s have a "butcher’s hook" at what’s been going on.

PODCAST 43: A MOST INTERESTING ELECTION
Colin and Andy are joined by self-confessed "Bernie Bro," Bay Area Guy, to discuss the most interesting US Presidential election in living memory. What are the deeper factors driving this political revolution? Can Trump and Bernie defeat their respective political establishments? Who is best for Millennials? And who is the true "chaos candidate"?
TRUMP AND THE METAPOLITICS OF WINNING
"What master are you forced to Serve?
With every sinew, every nerve,
What harvest can you hope to have?"
Baudelaire - The Flowers of Evil.
Donald Trump is here for the win, here to set America Free and make it Great again! He just took New Hampshire and is now well on his way to winning the Republican nomination and possibly the Presidency. I thought I’d pen this essay to show my support for "the Don," whom I like and endorse, and to also point out a few things as a foreign (Australian) observer of international and right-wing politics.
SELECTING FOR STRENGTH vs. SELECTING FOR WEAKNESS
"Trumpublican" Darwinism vs. Identitarianism of the Inferior
The result from New Hampshire is in, and there are stories for both sides of the political divide. The "Trump Train" or the "Bernie Blitz" – take your pick. Channel 4 News, a UK station with an inevitable Leftist bias, is pushing hard on the Bernie narrative. They featured this comment, as if it summed up some sort of watershed moment in American politics:
"The people of New Hampshire have sent a profound message to the political establishment, to the economic establishment, and by the way to the media establishment.""Nice story, bro," but what they are perhaps missing is just how vile and unlikable Hillary has always been as a candidate, and the surprising fact that she was ever chosen. The proverbial pile of dog poop could probably have beaten her.
THE RADICAL CENTRE
by Bay Area Guy
During my first interview with Robert Stark, Robert and I concurred that the best ideological platform would be an eclectic mix of Pat Buchanan and Ralph Nader’s beliefs. We further discussed this stance when hanging out in SF, and Robert even requested that I dedicate a post to this issue. On account of the presidential campaign heating up, I figure that now is as good a time as any to honor his request and expand on this topic.
