STOP OVERESTIMATING AMERICA

In the wake of July 4th, is America the greatest nation the World has ever seen, as claimed by Stefan Molyneux? Here is my take on this controversial question, previously published at Counter-Currents in 2014.

America is a geopolitical idiot, a moron nation whose position as the world’s leading power has nothing to do with its meagre or non-existent merits. In fact, to be brutally honest, it’s a dysfunctional entity with a sub-standard population, and a leadership that would be better off wearing bells. In a just and fair world it would be about the size of Belgium and surrounded by a high wall.

Although this may sound like a bit of a rant, it’s pretty much what you would expect if you spent a few hundred years clearing all the rubbish out from Europe – religious fanatics, convicts, rootless sociopaths, mental cases, bottom-of-the-heapers, and other various outcasts and failures – and dumping them all in a big, empty continent with a liberal sprinkling of losing tribalists from Africa. Yes, America is exceptional, exceptionally crap, and the only reason it was able to become the world’s leading power was because the World’s truly great powers all cancelled each other out.

'WHITE SHARIA',' 'WHITE KNIGHTING' AND WOMEN

Those who advance the hotly-debated “white sharia” meme on the alt-right appear at present to be waging a two-front war against their critics.

Fighting a war on two fronts isn’t necessarily an unworthy enterprise (though it did turn out to be a bit of a bunker bust for ol’ Adolf); however, in this case, the problem arises in that their two main modes of argumentation are mutually contradictory.

SHORTPOD (6): TRUMP, YOU CANNOT BE SYRIAOUS

A brief podcast by Alternative Right chief editor Colin Liddell, reporting on the site and events in the news. This time the focus is on Trump's decision to attack Syria and reopen the question of regime change.

BRITAIN STRIPS JIHADIST OF PASSPORT DESPITE SUPPLYING WEAPONS TO HIS ISLAMIST GROUP IN SYRIA

The youngest son of Abu Hamza has been stripped of his British passport after travelling to Syria to fight with jihadists. The Home Office has withdrawn the passport of Sufiyan Mustafa, 22, leaving him effectively stateless and stranded in Syria.

His Egyptian father, now 58, is currently in jail in the US after being convicted of a series of terrorism offences and has been serving his sentence in solitary confinement at a high security jail in Florence, Colorado.

THE REAL REASON TRUMP BOMBED SYRIA: NOT DEAD KIDDIES

Many are wondering about the surprising change in US-policy that has occurred in Syria. This is supposedly due to an alleged gas attack by Syrian national forces against a rebel-held town.

This is a childishly simple theory, especially as there is at least a lot of doubt about who is responsible for the attack, and a gas attack can add little to the horrors already under way in Syria.

A more feasible explanation is that the US is changing its position to adjust to the changing military situation on the ground.

THE PROBLEM AS SOLUTION

The sight of blood is a well-known economic driver

 Berlin and the "Quantum Economics"
of a Semi-Islamized Europe

by Colin Liddell

After each terrorist outrage, like the recent Muslim twist on German Xmas, we see the usual social, cultural, and political repair mechanisms kick in. The Establishment is the Management, and the Management think they can manage things. After all, they have all the resources, from the mass media and the financial system to the security and surveillance services, at their command. All they seem to lack is a coherent view of how the World works and what's round the next few corners. Their guiding principle seems to be The Blind Leading the Blind. But is it?

Right now, the media is doing its job of muddying the waters with its various narratives and talking points; steam is being released, pressures dissipated. The whole lovely mess is being framed in a hegemonic holding pattern of tolerance and atomized NAXALT individualism. After all Xmas is all about "Love" isn't it, and we wouldn't want to return to the dark old days of the 1930s, would we? Go on, light another candle, put it next to a flower, and say an atheistic little prayer to go with your mindless thought. You'll feel better for it.

PODCAST 46: A MOON-SHAPED POOL OF BLOOD

Novelist and translator Ann Sterzinger joins Andy and Colin to catch up on a "smorgasbord" of topics, including the UK's BREXIT vote, the assassination of MP Jo Cox, the Orlando gay-club massacre, Ramadan attacks on Radiohead and Disneyland, and much else.

ISIS AND THE BLONDE YAZIDI BLOODLINE

Images of Yazidi children.

Being a direct descendant of Yazidis, through my paternal lineage, the call of the blood, the call of the Heimat, the call of my own people is strong. My grandfather's last name was and still is El Yazidi, and being the man  I am – a Yazidi born in Africa – it pains me to see and hear all the stories of how the daughters of my ethnicity are enslaved, sold for sex slaves, consumed in their captivity to death because of their religion, because of the way they look, at the hands of Islamic Jihadists.

BRUSSELS AND THE QUANTUM MECHANICS OF THE NEW DIVIDED EUROPE

Brussels: energy from atomization.
by Colin Liddell

The Establishment is the Management, and the Management think they can manage things. After all, they have plenty of resources at their command, from the mass media and the financial system to the security services. All they lack really is a coherent view of how the World works and what's round the corner, as their guiding principle has always been The Blind Leading the Blind.

So, how are things working out?

Brussels, which came a few months – or was it weeks? – after Paris was pretty bad. We can expect tourist numbers to dip for a while. But the Management is not overly concerned.

EYE FROM THE RIGHT: DEADPOOL

Contemporary Media seen from the Right

by Richard Wolstencroft

This movie was total bullshit. First off – it's a spin-off of a spin-off of the awful, stupid X-Men movies. If I had known that I would NEVER have bothered to see it. So now you know.

And, yes, it’s another f**king comic book – they are a curse on modern cinema. GROW the hell up, people, and read some literature. I detest most comic books – outside a few adult orientated ones with high intelligence. I much prefer books because books make great films.

PODCAST 38: 2015, YEAR OF THE UNCUCKED (WITH KEVIN MacDONALD)

Professor Kevin MacDonald joins Andy and Colin to take a look back at the dramatic events of 2015, a year which saw Syria fall deeper into chaos, the "Muslimmivasion" of Europe by so-called "refugees," horrific terrorist attacks in Paris and California, and a fightback of sorts by Eastern European governments, the Front National in France, and most spectacularly of all by the rise of Donald Trump in the GOP primaries.

PARIS AND SELECTIVE SYMPATHY

#BlackLivesMatters as it appears to French people.

By now, people of myriad ideological persuasions have weighed in on the latest tragic attack to rock France. Liberals exhort us to not give in to hatred and embrace Islamophobic rhetoric, lest we play into ISIS’s hands. Just about everyone in the alt right – as well as mainstream conservative pundits and politicians – has criticized Islam, Muslim immigration, or even multiculturalism itself. Certain individuals have been less than thoughtful, with one Israeli rabbi asserting that this tragedy was payback for European anti-Semitism. Just thought white American conservatives who slavishly worship Israel should know just whom they’re subsidizing.

ISIS IS NOT THE CRISIS

The old cloud/silver lining metaphor.

by Colin Liddell

The first point that has to be emphasized is that we don’t live in a humanist society, that is a society defined by what we like to think of as human characteristics – sentience, foresight, willpower, transindividualism, etc. We live in a society that is more bee-like, frog-like, or sheep-like – the blind hive mind and unthinking herd – that reacts without consciousness, without vision, without leadership, hierarchy, and direction.

This means that we are incapable as societies or as a civilization of doing our own thinking, therefore actions and events have to do our thinking for us – reconnecting us to the realities we constantly stray from.

PODCAST 37: PARIS AND THE ABYSS OF WESTERN IDENTITY

The Bataclan minutes before the terrorists struck.
Andy and Colin are joined by Ann Sterzinger to discuss the Islamic terrorist attack on Paris, and whether the West's negative culture of "freedom" will ultimately submit to the crude positivism of Islam, or whether Europe will start to define itself positively and fight back.

Also discussed are Michel Houellebecq's novel Submission, about an Islamicized France of the near future.

PUTIN READING ALT-RIGHT?

Boots on the ground.

Back in December 2014, Alternative Right published The Failure of Putin, an article that criticized the polices of Putin's Russia from a strategic point of view. The main criticism was that Putin, by concentrating on slivers of the Ukrainian border and neglecting the opportunities offered by America's essentially fragile Middle Eastern position was playing a poor game of judo, effectively pushing the twin pillars of a naturally divergent post-Cold-War West together, and thus ensuring Russia's continued inferiority. As I wrote at the time:
"As a judo aficionado, Putin should realize that if you push directly at a larger opponent, you are more likely to help him keep his balance than throw him off it. In effect, this is what Putin has been doing with the West."

IMMIGRATION, ALTRUISM, AND NATIONAL SUICIDE

The liberal establishment in the West seems intent on national suicide. Just as they deem George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four to be a blueprint on how to run a country rather than a brutal warning about life under the socialist jackboot, so they deem Jean Raspail's novel The Camp of the Saints to be a blueprint on importing third world people in their millions and bringing Western civilisation to a close.

The majority of people in the West suffer from the illusion of permanency – by which I mean they think tomorrow will be no different to today and that next year will be no different to this year. They are correct that little will change in such a short time span, but the West has put into motion a series of events that will totally transform our society well before 2050, let alone by the end of this century. A child born today, in a peaceful and cohesive part of the West, will be a mere thirty-five years of age by 2050 but he or she will live through the biggest racial / cultural upheaval ever witnessed in the history of mankind. By the time they reach middle age the West will have seen racial / religious civil war and terrible bloodshed. Who will emerge the winner is an unknown, but the odds are firmly stacked against the Europeans – unless there is a fundamental sea change in our altruistic attitudes.

CONSPIRACY GOING MAINSTREAM

"Something funny, sir?" Rice and Cheney on 9/11

Neither of the clips posted below hot-off-the-presses current, yet both are striking in what they represent about the present state of what we call "current affairs."

In each of these video clips, a mainstream figure goes on record taking a breathtakingly radical stance, calling the accepted explanation of a major event into question. Each time, one is left with the thought: "Did s/he really just say that???"

END-TIMES BUFFOONERY

Politics and religion all too often assume odd and distorted forms in America. The United States has long been the home of a wide assortment of bizarre and eccentric sects and cults, most being harmless, or at least lacking the ability to do any serious harm outside of their immediate proximity without large-scale followings nor serious political access. But there are always exceptions, and one of the more prominent and influential ones is the highly-politicized and well-funded Dispensationalist movement, a vocal and well-represented faction among fundamentalist Protestants. Not only do Dispensationalists have a large scale following, but they also manage to wield considerable influence in Washington, especially on US foreign policy.

The relationship between fundamentalist Protestant eschatology of the Dispensationalist variety and America’s geopolitical agenda can be clearly seen in the figure of Hal Lindsey. In the early 1970’s he published a book, The Late Great Planet Earth, which proved a bestseller among fundamentalist Protestants. Scrawled during the height of the Cold War, Lindsey’s work proposed that Soviet Russia was the sinister entity known as Gog spoken about by the Hebrew prophet Ezekiel, and that it would soon invade Israel, thus bringing about Armageddon. Lindsey was not an isolated figure by any means; a film based on his book – narrated by none other than Orson Welles – was made, and his admirers included Ronald Reagan, who cited Lindsey’s teachings on Russia as Gog in a speech prior to becoming president.

ISIS AS SUNNI ARAB NATIONALISM – CONFIRMED

In my article The Uses and Abuses of Arab Nationalism I said:
“ISIS is a bastardized expression of the nationalist identity and interests of Sunni Arabs. In all its deformity, the movement is simply filling a gap that should more correctly be filled by a healthy form of Arab nationalism.”
This view is now being confirmed by the evidence coming out of Syria and Iraq. A recent article in The Independent, "How Saddam Hussein's former military officers and spies are controlling Isis," presents evidence from a number of Syrian sources, including Abu Hamza, a former Syrian rebel, and makes the case that ISIS is little more than the old Baathist regime of Saddam Hussein hiding in a Muslim hijab:

DABIQ: INTERVIEW WITH A CAPTURED MOSSAD AGENT

Whatever else it is, ISIS is the perfect manifestation of the Postmodern condition of contemporary warfaresometimes referred to as Fourth Generation Warfare.

Involved in what seems like an extremely "asymmetrical conflict," they have nevertheless developed a sophisticated system of fighting and proselytising that has allowed them to carve out an enclave based on the alienated Sunni Arab populations of the former Baathist states of Iraq and Syria.

Perhaps the most Postmodern thing about ISIS is the element of larping or cosplay that seems to pervade the movement—an arcane insistence on roles taken from a fictional book (The Koran), combined with a tech savvy approach that riffs on the alienation, detachment, and cultural divisions created by Western Liberalism. Another Postmodern aspect is the doubt surrounding its true identity and motivations, giving it something of the nature of a holographic simulacra.

Much of this is evident in their rather well-produced English magazine DABIQ. The latest issue (dated 1436 in the Islamic calendar) seems to address allegations that the movement is little more than a CIA or Mossad front by running an interview with a captured Mossad spy referred to here as "Murtadd" (apostate), who, of course, in the Post-modernist nature of things might just be a stooge for higher up Mossad plants. But make your own mind up.
