Robert Stark talks to Austrian journalist Martin Lichtmesz about his new German language book Ethnopluralismus: Kritik und Verteidigung and the political concept of ethnopluralism. Topics include the influence of ethnopluralism on the European New Right, how the concept was coined in the 70s by German sociologist Henning Eichberg, its roots in the thought of the romantic philosopher Johann Gottfried Herder, the original version of Multiculturalism in Canada, the failure of the Left to preserve diversity, and feasibility of maintaining a version of multiculturalism where all can take part. Also discussed are Claude LĆ©vi-Strauss’ The Sad Tropics, Jean Raspail’s La Hache Des Steppes, the Afrikaner enclave of Orania in South Africa, and the recent terrorist attack in Vienna.
