TOTALITARIAN CAPITALISM

Thought criminal
by Alexander Dugin

We live in the age of totalitarian capitalism. If we analyse the nature of capitalism correctly we find immediately that it is essentially totalitarian. That doesn’t make, by the way, communism and fascism less totalitarian. No. They are totalitarian also. But this doesn’t make capitalism itself less totalitarian.

Capitalism prescribes its ideology - individualism, liberal democracy, market society, materialism, relativism, human rights and so on - as something obligatory and normative with all kind of violence. Economic violence, political violence (capitalist state or system), moral violence, institutional violence (eviction of dissenters).

The fact that capitalism is totalitarian reveals itself when there is no more competing illiberal form of totalitarianism.

Only now can the totalitarian essence of capitalism be fully grasped - when there is no more comparison with illiberal forms.

The ideology of capitalist totalitarianism is called liberalism. And here we are: living in the Orwell’s 1984 merged with Huxley's Brave New World.

The use the term fascism in such situation is totally misleading. The totalitarian capitalists - the only masters of real power - use that to destroy and demonize dissent. The use of such a label is pure example of the totalitarian method of repression (outside of rare cases when some marginal groups, mostly by provocation, chose to call themselves "fascist" openly.

So antifa is merely the legitimization of pure violence and use of acts of hatred. The liberal hatred evident in this betrays liberalism's inner totalitarian nature.

Capitalism should be destroyed: communism and fascism have already been destroyed. There is only one form of totalitarianism left that is still very powerful - liberal totalitarianism.
