Goad desperately trying to prove he is not gay and boring. |

Since joining Greg Johnson's stable, he has adopted more obviously anti-Semitic views in order to fit in with his paymaster. Prior to this, however, he was extremely contemptuous of Johnson.
He is also known for a rather ridiculous, long-running feud with Matt Forney, in which Forney is now well ahead on points following this hilarious Luke Ford live stream from 2018, which continually centred back on Jim's self-admitted homosexual experiences some years back with a Black boy. Goad's work has also commented frequently on the homosexual relations that occur in prison, adding to the widely-held suspicion that Jim was subjected, either willingly or unwillingly, to such encounters during his three years in prison.
His most well-known book is the Red Neck Manifesto (1997), which shows his knack of pairing a catchy and promising title with a turgid and overwrought writing style that has little of worth to say. Probably his most significant contribution to the arts has been his coining of the term "Shit magnet" to describe people, rather like himself, who constantly get involved in pointless drama, needless mishaps, and avoidable accidents. The term is particularly useful in categorising a large number of people in the Dissident Right, such as Baked Alaska, Ralph, Milo Yiannopoulos, Matt Heimbach, etc.

Goad has long been a presence on the Dissident Right, but he has no real ideology and is only capable of crude ad hominem attacks, larded with low-brow, American naughty words. He is essentially an "edgytarian" Boomer with little or no moral compass and rather tedious atheist views, apparently based on not being loved by his parents as a child.
He is considered an "Alt-Right" figure thanks to his largely forgotten 2019 appearances on Richard Spencer's YouTube channel and being the most popular but least interesting writer at Greg Johnson's Neo-Nazi Counter-Currents site, which he joined after being sacked by Taki's Magazine in 2020. He is a self-confessed wife beater, drug taker, and bisexual, and has an autistic son called Zane, with his divorced second wife Shannon. He often tries to use this child for moral capital, despite spending his whole life mocking the disabled and using terms like "retard" with gay abandon.

Let me guess: he is not your favourite personality?
ReplyDeleteAt this point the left must be laughing their asses off for the Alt Right turning most of its firepower inwards.
Why not looking forward and focusing again on minor side issues such as ... saving Western civilization (not that I know or like Jim Goad or agree with anything he said)?
Actually I feel pretty neutral about Goad. He seems like a product of his times. I find him boring more than anything else.
DeleteAs for the Alt-Right's "firepower" my impression is it spiked its own guns, when it abandoned complex and structured analysis, and decided instead to blame all the bad things on Super Jews. But there were doubtless inherent flaws right from the very beginning.
That Luke Ford stream was for me the single greatest piece of "content creation" ever generated by the alt right. As I recall the stream was titled "The Art of Debate" or some such nonsense. It started with some non-e-celeb small fish earnestly talking to Luke about the art of debate. He was quickly ignored when big fish Jim joined the stream. Forney and his jackals (maybe 5 of them) from AF then got on the stream and used their mode at the time of gang attack to quickly "felt" poor old Jim. Baked just kept repeating the words "you got sucked off by a teenage black boy" (as you say the boys did their "research" before the stream) and cackling. Beardson kept repeating the words "LOL" and "LMAO" which works well in these situations.
ReplyDeleteTL:DR they won.
Goad can be arrogant. It's hard to forget his out of nowhere attack on Kevin Michael Grace on religion on a pre-stream I heard once. Of course KMG has prior form on you (the "FRANCE IS MEDIOCRE !" incident), and I imagine you and Goad also have form.
KMG is totally "gay" and "feminine" in the sense of being mainly bruised and tremulous emotions. He completely overreacted to my suggestion that dividing Germany into several smaller units after WWII was an entirely sensible and understandable idea at the time, and possibly would have been the optimum course. Naturally, he didn't have any arguments. Just hysterical claims that this was tantamount to "genocide." It makes me laugh to think about it now.
