"SHIT IN A BUCKET"

Lies, lies, lies...

I really don't know what the point of the media is anymore. Almost everything they say turns out to be (a) a complete lie, (b) a fraction of the story or a major omission, (c) deceptive analysis, and (d) usually all the former rolled into one.

Really, the media is no longer doing its job of briefly and accurately telling us what's going on the world. Your only real choices are to (a) ignore everything it says or (b) spend half your day checking out for yourself the major stories being pushed.

The recent story from England about a torrent of "racist abuse" heaped on the three young Black England players who missed penalties against Italy in the final of the European Championships is a perfect case in point.

By the way, isn't it sad how Italy were denied their deserved victory by the story becoming all about how some Black England players feel. Yes, they basically used fake victimology to steal the limelight, if not the trophy, from the Italians.

It's already been pointed out how the so-called "racist" abuse came almost totally from suspicious accounts overseas, but what about the one element of the story that was incontrovertibly located in the UK? Yes, the so-called "racist graffiti" on the mural of Black player Marcus Rahsford, who is apparently regarded as a "hero" in some quarters because he once tweeted that "poor" kids should get free school meals during the Covid lockdown.

This story stank to high heaven from the get go.

While almost all mainstream news outlets assured us the graffiti was terribly, terribly "racist," none of them bothered to tell us what the shocking words daubed on the mural actually said.

Now, three days later, we are being told, "Um, actually it wasn't racist at all," although they are still unwilling to say why. Also, like most 'corrections' that story is being put out on a very weak signal.

So, to answer the first question last, what did the graffiti say?

After a lot of careful searching, I was able to get away from the swarm of search bots pushing me to "uplifting" images of anti-racist love-ins, and instead get some images of the original graffiti itself. The message daubed was simply "shite in a bucket bastard" along with a cartoon penis pointing at Rashford's mouth. The phrase is supposed to be quite common in Irish Traveller fight call-out videos

So, rather than "racism," it was merely an expression of disappointment, with comedy overtones, that made no reference whatsoever to Rashford's race or to the race of anyone else.

This verifiably non-racial piece of harmless vulgarity then became Ground Zero for an outpouring of "Look at how much we disavow racism" hysteria that stretched across the land, and reached from the lowest to the highest in society.

This ridiculous carnival of "anti-racism" does not, however, have the message that those behind it hope it does. When people have to constantly signal how much they reject racism and how bad they think it is, all they are telling us is that they too have deep and persistent doubts about Britain's multiculturalism.

As for the media, they knew what the graffiti was all along, but were quite happy to run with the lie that it was "racist."

They did this because they knew that a piece of fake news that triggered the neuroses of a nation awkwardly trying to deal with multiculturalism would be the easiest way to get the clicks, views, and ad revenue that their diseased organs need to survive just a little longer.

Yes, the UK media eats, breathes, and shits lies as a matter of necessity. Too bad it doesn't use a bucket!

  1. Why so defensive about being "racist"? Even if it is true that the abuse came from foreign false flag accounts, the native English will still be considered latently racist as the media sees fit to push their vision of Global Britain.

Trying to jump over every stick they hold and disapprove its continuous suspicions of racism is a losing game. It is like Cuban protestors trying to convince the communist authorities that their criticism is not meant to be "counter-revolutionary". You are accepting the framing of those that rule over you.

    Instead change subtly the focus:
    - point out that it was the BLM antics of the team that brought racialization and politicisation to the tournament in the first place
    - ask whether Southgate wanted to make a political statement by letting three Black players kick the last penalties that would decide the game
    - praise the Italian team for its team spirit, cohesion and homogenity
