I vaguely remember some meme from a few years ago about Kim Kardashian’s fart-muffler “breaking the internet.” Apparently the meme they were trying to promote was that her latest ass-flaunting photo shoot was so stupendous that the internet could not handle all the traffic that her fat-cushioned shit tube was generating.
Of course, this was nothing more than a clever piece of marketing. The internet wasn’t at all broken (I distinctly remember that Pornhub was working fine that day). Also, it wasn’t even clear at that point what a “broken” internet would look like. However, the events of recent days—“the Great Shuttering,” as I call it—give a much better picture of what a “broken” internet looks like.
One of the key aspects of the internet has always been its “freedom,” a word that, rightly or wrongly seems to have nothing but positive connotations in the wider culture. It has lowered the bar so that any talented person who can find a way to appeal can build up an audience from scratch. This element of freedom has been one of the defining characteristics of the internet, and one that everyone from pornographers, drug-pedlars, antifa, Al Qaeda, ISIS, sexual perverts, Neo-Nazis, and Andy Nowicki have been able to take advantage of.
The containment policy of the establishment was to stop whoever it was “outside the door” and arrest them for actual IRL offences rather than specifically for anything they had done or said on the internet. Those who were smart enough easily found ways round that, even in Europe with its Draconian “hate speech” laws. The Daily Stormer positioned itself perfectly, spewing out legal hate speech to the full capacity of the US First Amendment, couching it with a little humour and throwing in an insincere caveat that they did not promote violence, which was technically and legally true.
But let’s be honest here and admit that almost everything promotes violence to some degree, as there is always a subset of every population that can’t handle feelings. The TV series Roots that aired in the 1970s promoted violence because it portrayed some Whites in extremely negative ways to Blacks. The Leftist media has a similar effect on SJWs and antifa. “Yes, Trump voters are evil.” It is obvious what the next logical step from here is for the weak-minded.
Movies with villains, university courses about “White privilege,” even people walking dogs through certain neighbourhoods all promote violence in various micro and macro ways. The examples are too tedious to enumerate.
This is called the slippery slope, which, as we see with “statue-gate,” is becoming a defining feature of our increasingly unstable age.
Then, because the Internet was designed as a globalist and globalizing project, the Stormer's cheery cocktail of hate-filled, but technically “non-violent” violent humour and news crunching went all around the world.
Perhaps the most interesting way to look at the Stormer is as a stress test on the internet, i.e. given its inherent globalism and “muh freedoms,” how far could it actually be pushed before it breaks?
All sort of previous “stress tests” have shown how robust it is. Homosexualists, paedophiles, drug-pushers, pornographers of all kinds, and radical Muslims have all failed to break the internet. As long as they didn’t cross the line into IRL crime, they were golden and the waters of the internet remained unrippled. But Anglin was different. Anglin’s stress test found the one crack that forced the internet to become what the internet had previously not been—basically a bunch of old church ladies in a moral panic with their petticoats on fire.
So, what was the crack, the weak point in the system?
It was the hypersensitivity and neuroticism of organized Jewry and the phenomenon of “triggering.” While the former has been with us for some time the latter is coeval with the internet. It is basically the notion that seeing or hearing things unexpectedly can cause certain people emotional distress to the point where they can no longer mentally function or deal with opposing viewpoints in a sane way.
People are very different and naturally self-segregate into cultural and psychological comfort zones. The rise of the internet essentially broke down the barriers between different types and groups of people, rather like an enormous school bussing operation. In the same way that rampant porn is only ever a couple of clicks away, so are the alien mores and mentalities of completely incompatible groups and individuals.
The mature way to deal with this is to carefully resegregate oneself in virtual or psychological ways. We have seen plenty of virtual resegregation through mechanisms like blocking and defriending. While the increasing irony of our age is clearly a psychological response. The online echo chamber must be built for some, but for others this just feels wrong. Most people, whether they realise it or not—and most don’t—are moral absolutists and feel instinctively that everyone within their milieu or vicinity must share their world view. Some, rather than retreat from the fray and self-segregate with their own kind, prefer to convert or to trigger, and as people prefer not to convert face-to-face without sexual inducements, triggering is all there is. This is what we mean by trolls, essentially—people who don’t self-segregate in echo chambers.
When all is said and done, triggering is a form of incorporating someone opposed to you into your group’s worldview. But you are incorporating them as inferiors, as un-self-aware, emotionally incontinent people who disagree with you. Triggering and upsetting them is the marker. In fact they are inferior, un-self-aware, and emotionally incontinent because they disagree with you. In this way their disagreement reinforces, rather than challenges, your world view.
This is where the Alt-Right comes in and the real reason it is so potent, powerful, and such a threat to the existing order. It literally triggers the shit out of everyone. I could go into great detail about when, where, how, and why, but that would be like shoveling snow in a blizzard, as there is just so much of it, so I won’t weigh this article down with that.
Instead, it is more illuminating to focus on the relation of Stormerism to the Alt-Right, and see how they differ, especially as many are in the process of conflating the two. Although connected—as all things in the universe are—they are also distinct. The main distinction is defined by the way that they trigger and the focus of their triggering.
When all is said and done, the Alt-Right is an “equal opportunities” triggerer. From its elevated position next to the socially abhorrent truths on all issues, the Alt-Right triggers in all directions and towards many groups, although not all groups are equally triggered. No one is safe from the movement’s triggering, and the more angry, irate, logophobic, or even violent that certain groups become in response, the greater grows the Alt-Right’s certainty in its divine mission. By the wails of the unbelievers shall thee know the truth.
Stormerism partakes to some degree in all this, but while the Alt-Right is focused on the triggering—and therefore situated closer to the burning tiki torch of truth—Stormerism is more focused on who is triggered. This means they focus more on who notices them, on who squeals the loudest when they jab.
This is where the Jews come in.
Jews are complex creatures and have “nested indentities,” more so than most people. The more complex people’s identities are, the more psychologically unstable they tend to be, and thus the more easy to trigger they are.
There are certain Jews whom one would be unable to trigger in a million years—staunch Zionists for example (essentially a Jewish form of White Nationalists) or Jewish religious fundamentalists who see the world as one of Jehovah’s elaborate jokes. Another group that would be hard to trigger are those Jews or half-Jews who have successfully assumed a robust White identity and thus support our side.
Once you take away these groups you are left with the core of the Jews, people who are betwixt and between—complex, highly-intelligent, but deeply neurotic creatures who are eminently triggerable because they are aware of both the truths and the lies that surround their history, culture, morality, and identity.
In the world of the modern internet, this pulsating mass of neuroses does not go unnoticed. The more moral and upstanding members of the Alt-Right trigger it a little as a demonstration of White European hegemony over it but otherwise treat it with gentle sympathy, mild disdain, and a sense of noblesse oblige. This was always the attitude of Popes in the old days, and seems to be that of the Alt-Right’s elder statesmen today.
But Stormerists, representing something of the juvenile, the underman, or the try-hard White, and thus having a stronger emotional need for the triggering dopamine fix, zoom in on the Jews and go full 1488 on them—like monkeys wanking in a cage.
Rather than being as smart as is often claimed, the Jews in the form of over-organized Jewry—which, let’s face it, has an extremely strong vested interest in going down this path—then proceed to over-react in typical neurotic fashion.
Groups like the ADL and the SPLC have been working behind the scenes for months to bring about what happened following Charlottesville, which was clearly set up for this purpose. They have essentially broken the internet—at least temporarily—simply because the Daily Stormer in particular and the Alt-Right in general have triggered the hell out of them. They have resorted, in the famous phrase of William Rees-Mogg, to “breaking a butterfly on a wheel.”
Certain kinds or power work by a law of inertia. The more you use them the more you lose them. Nothing destroys power more than deploying it excessively, as we see in this case.
What are the consequence of the Great Shuttering? The Alt-Right is more galvanized and united than ever before. Those who were bored and were heading for the exits have heard the roars and have turned back to the auditorium. Alt-Tech, already on the march, following Google’s firing of James Damore, is now hastened and strengthened on its march, while elsewhere the sleeping giant of Libertarianism is also stirring, now that its drugs and porn are implicitly threatened. So, what has over-organized Jewry been working so hard behind the scenes to really do?
