The best entertainment on the internet right now is undoubtedly the spat that has flared up between TRS and the Daily Stormer. I don't know about you, but these two were part of my growing up. Oh, the memories!
But why are these two "dissident clusters" at war in the first place? Haven't they always pushed the same bullshit, namely that everything sick, depraved, and wrong with the World can be ascribed to a certain White ethnicity starting with the letter "J"?
Also, haven't they also shared the belief that the best way to address this to their low-grade audiences is to be as 'edgy,' transgressive, and offensive as possible?
Well, right there you have the answer for this surprising split:
Anyone who has followed the saga of these two lowest-common-denominator destroyers of American White Nationalism cannot have failed to notice two things:
The answer is that they didn't fancy the idea of occupying a niche like the one the Stormer managed to carve out for itself—dependent on a Dark Web existence and tech support from obvious Feds like Weev, while also having to base itself in dubious foreign locales like the Philippines or Transnistria (where Weev reportedly spends his bitcoin shagging underage Slav teens).
The TRS guys, despite pandering to K-word and N-word racism, are mainly family men, who want to stay Stateside and live Boomer American lives. (I have not yet seen any evidence that Enoch has divorced his fellow Jewish wife.) Here in a nutshell is why these two ideologically-aligned entities have fallen out: the Stormer could continue to roll around in the Neo-Nazi muck it had kicked up, whereas TRS felt it might drown in it.
Enoch rightly surmised that TRS would have to dial things back a bit or they would face the same kind of relentless doxxing and deplatforming pressures that the Stormer had weathered by evolving specialised "fortress" mechanisms—either on their own or with the help of their handlers. But Enoch also realised the dangers of putting some distance between himself and the Stormer, as Anglin would be sure to take this the wrong way. This is why he did it as surreptitiously as possible, crab-walking away, while denouncing all drama.
Predictably Weev/Anglin reacted. TRS had been vital in the success of the Stormer, especially with spreading its poison to the rest of the Alt-Right. Yes, Enoch, despite his shallow analysis of Western degeneracy, is a respected "intellectual" among the likes of "sub-masucline emotional Nazis" like Richard Spencer, Greg Johnson, and Millennial Woes.
Resenting Enoch's new direction, Anglin lashed out with the Jayoh revelations. The case—confessing on an old podcast to being hunted by the FBI on drugs charges and then surfacing suspiciously soon afterwards as a TRS insider—does admittedly raise some deeply troubling questions.
The TRS cover story here is that Jayoh was just shit-talking on that podcast. Whatever! The key point, however, is that Anglin is looking for something to attack TRS with, and if it wasn't this it would—and will be—something else.
As for Anglin, it's pretty easy to attack him. I have done that in the past and will continue to do so, and right now Brad Griffin at Occidental Dissident is doing a pretty good job:
